Rio Secco is located 13 miles from the Las Vegas Strip and has been gracefully placed into foothills of the Black Mountain Range. Many celebrities have stepped foot onto this superb 18-hole championship course, including Adam Scott and Tiger Woods (who currently holds the course record of 64). However don’t let the pros discourage you. Rio Secco offers four teeing areas so golfers of all skill levels can play this magnificent course.
At Rio Secco tee times are offered every 10 minutes so there is never an excuse not to play. Placed 800 feet above the Las Vegas Valley, Rio Secco offers majestic views of the serene landscape and the scintillating Vegas Strip in the distance. The course itself is well rounded with six holes through canyons, six with city views, and six that are built into the desert.
Worked up an appetite? Head to the clubhouse, located near the 8th hole. With beautiful views of the course and delicious food, you are able to stop and reflect on your performance, kick your feet up, and take in the tranquil landscape.
Rio Secco is owned and operated by the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. If you are staying at a Harrah’s property hotel, you may want to ask your concierge to set up a tee time or expert instruction lessons from the well-known Butch Harmon School of Golf. This course is open to the public and it’s a great stop on your Las Vegas vacation.
