Tuscany Golf Club

1/2

Just minutes from the Strip in Henderson, Nevada, the secluded Tuscany Golf Club is a getaway from a getaway, offering a beautiful and peaceful golf setting tucked inside the master-planned Tuscan community. With a par-72 layout that’s player friendly yet challenging, Tuscany provides an exciting and fun round of golf with enough bunkers and water hazards to make the course seem like a tropical resort.

Designed by Ted Robinson, Tuscany measures 6,906 yards from the back tees and features a lush landscape paired with upscale conditioning, excellent service, and great facilities. The bright greens contrast beautifully with the dusty colored mountains overlooking the course, and the Strip can be seen glittering in the distance. A generous dose of palm and pine trees make Tuscany especially easy on the eyes, and arroyos and water features are sprinkled throughout the wide fairways and mildly undulating greens. Adding an element of difficulty to the course is several bunkers – 68 of them, to be exact – which are found guarding the green on several holes.

Tuscany opens with four holes designed to get players’ blood flowing before really hitting them with a challenge, such as the one found on the 9th hole. A 404-yard par-4 dogleg left, it requires players to hit towards the right side of a narrow fairway in order to avoid a lake and set up a decent approach. Most holes on the front nine start from elevated tees, but players will find more level ground and variety on the back nine, which comes to a tough close on the 18th hole. This 440-yard par-4 features an intimidating downhill fairway leading to a green guarded by water on two sides and bunkers behind.

Still, Tuscany features just the right amount of difficulty to keep it fun and not frustrating. There are few forced carries, and roughs are banked toward the fairway, preventing bad shots from completely ruining a score.  Four tee options are available for players of varying skill levels.

The jewel of Tuscany Golf Club is the 31,000 square foot Tuscan-style village complex in the center of the grounds, which features a restaurant, golf retail store, a pub, and banquet and meeting facilities. Dining on the restaurant’s expansive outdoor patio is particularly pleasant, with the golf course, mountains, and the Strip providing lovely views.

In addition to providing great service and a thoroughly enjoyable game on immaculately maintained grounds, Tuscany Golf Club is quite affordable, making it one of the best values in Las Vegas.
