And this Memorial Day weekend, Pure invites you to celebrate the holiday with the Jamaican-American reggae singer, Shaggy as he hosts the hottest party on the Strip.

In 1993, Shaggy hit the airwaves with his remake of the ska hit song “Oh Carolina” by the Folkes Brothers. The same year, Shaggy appeared on Kenny Dope’s hip hop album “The Unreleased Project”. He then worked with producers such as Sting International, Don One, Lloyd ‘Spiderman’ Campbell and Robert Livingston. During this period, Shaggy released the hit song “Boombastic”.

Shaggy had a major comeback in 2001, featuring worldwide number-one hit singles “It Wasn’t Me” and “Angel” which was built around two song samples, Merrilee Rush’s 1968 hit “Angel of the Morning” and The Steve Miller Band’s 1973 hit “The Joker”.

Recently, Shaggy released the song, Shaggy-Rise Again (with Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Alison Hinds, Shontelle Layne, Edwin Yearwood, Destra Garcia, David Rudder, KesDieffenthaller, Tessanne Chin, Etana & Belo). The song became the anthem in Haiti after the devastating earthquake in January.
