Located inside The Mirage and just outside the LOVE Theater, Revolution Lounge is the perfect spot to have a psychedelic drink before, or after, Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE.
This club can’t be missed because REVOLUTION is spelled out in life size letters doubling as seating. Step behind the letters and notice the contemporary décor is still reminiscent of the Beatles era. Have a quick drink in the front area of the club known as the Abbey Road Bar or continue on into a very comfortable lounge area that resembles a submarine. Either way, the seating is plush and comfortable and there are plenty of places to take some great photos.
One of the most interesting things about this club, which often goes unnoticed, is the way LOVE is spelled inside the word REVOLUTION. The “E” and “L” appear to be backwards from the front of the bar, but once inside the word LOVE is clearly spelled out when facing the opposite direction. It’s an optical illusion that goes unnoticed to most club goers.
The ceiling in REVOLUTION lights up to symbolize “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” There are plenty of booths for VIP seating where guests will be greeted by a waitress dressed like a go-go dancer. Psychedelic projections light up the otherwise white walls creating a calming yet visually pleasing effect that guests can not find in some of the more high energy nightclubs which offer manic light shows designed to keep people moving. While sitting at one of the VIP tables use your fingers to “draw” on the table and instantaneously the drawing will then be projected onto a wall of the club. Almost like a constantly changing wall of graffiti.
Even if tickets to see LOVE is not in your trip itinerary, you’ll still have a blast winding down in this 1960’s themed lounge.
