DAYLIFE BORN. Wet Republic is the ultimate in “adult” pools in Las Vegas. Everyone has already fallen in love with the high class amenities found at Tao Beach at the Venetian, or Venus at the Mirage. Cabanas with ipods and flat screen TVs, half naked cocktail waitresses, and pool boys passing out cold towels have become nothing out of the ordinary at these luxury water wonderlands. All those things are well and good but, let’s get real people—this is Vegas and we want more! With hotels constantly trying to outdo each other, it keeps us wondering: What could possibly get better than this? And before we can even ask the question, it’s answered for us…Wet Republic at MGM Grand. That’s what!

You’ve heard of an ultra lounge. Well MGM is calling Wet Republic an ultra pool (we must admit a very nice play on words). Wet Republic does not just deliver food from neighboring restaurants; they have their own exclusive on-site café run by one of the top chefs in town. Not ready for a full lunch? Enjoy frozen grapes that are served poolside by sexy cabana attendants. The pools at Wet Republic won’t be anything close to average either. Wet Republic is fully equipped with two large salt water pools and eight individual pools & spas! You can’t get any closer to the ocean than that. What’s better than a lounge chair in the pool? A chaise lounge in the pool. Guests will relax in the most comfortable lounge chairs in town while still partially submerged in salt water and working on their tan at the same time.

No ultra pool experience would be complete without cabanas. So the MGM has created what they are calling, Super Cabanas, which are equipped with HD plasma screen TVs, an XBox 360, wifi internet access, a custom stocked mini-fridge, and ice cold terry cloth towels. Cabana rentals also come with private cocktail waitresses who will be serving signature cocktails or bottle service.

The idea behind Wet Republic is to mix a wild nightlife scene with an outdoor pool party. World-class DJs will spin the hottest dance music. The “club” will also be pretty hard to get into. Just like a hot nightclub, there will be bouncers checking to make sure everyone is in their best sun-and-fun attire. In other words, your grandma in her one-piece and your brother with his floaties will not be allowed in. Actually, the pool is adult only.
