A New York institution since 1937, the Carnegie Delicatessen has brought their incredible sandwiches to Las Vegas, one of only three deli locations outside of their famous Midtown Manhattan spot. Located in the Mirage, this restaurant offers meaty sandwiches so big you can hardly get your chops around them – though that certainly won’t stop you from enjoying them. Combined with a Deli-style wall of celebrity-signed photographs, checkered tile floors, leather booths, and plenty of New York attitude, the Carnegie Deli is a flavorful journey back to the City.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Carnegie Deli has a truly expansive menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. You’ll rub your eyes in disbelief when you see the long list of their offerings. In the morning, savor a wide variety of omelets, eggs, cereals, and other breakfast classics, as well as sides of thick cut ham or bacon. For lunch, Carnegie offers a variety of burgers, salads, soups, and more; try their award-winning Cheese Blintzes, served with sour cream or applesauce, or their Matzo Ball and Noodle soup. And for dinner, hearty, soul-soothing entrees are the norm, with specialties like Baked Meat Loaf, the Boiled Half Spring Chicken, and the Brisket of Beef.
However, it’s no secret that sandwiches are the star at Carnegie Deli. An extensive list of gargantuan, hot or cold sandwiches are available, including the classic Ah, There’s the Reuben, a savory grilled sandwich piled high with pastrami, corned beef, or turkey and topped with melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, and The Mouth that Roared, a ferocious sandwich of prime roast beef, onion, lettuce, and tomato. True sandwich connoisseurs, however, will want to try the Woody Allen, a towering sandwich with “lotsa” pastrami and corned beef.
The Carnegie Deli cures, smokes, and bakes all of their meats right on the premises in a USDA approved commissary, so diners can be assured they’re getting the true deli experience. And speaking of which, no Carnegie deli experience is complete without trying their world-famous cheesecake. A thick, sinful slab of rich goodness, the cheesecake alone is enough to make you a Deli diner for life. And that’s a good thing, since it will take you your whole life to try all of the delicious items on Carnegie Deli’s immense menu.
