Although Las Vegas offers almost every type of cuisine that you can think of, it seems that just one has been overlooked until now. Cockeyed Clam at Imperial Palace serves authentic and fresh New England seafood. Fried clams, Maine lobster rolls, and other Northeast favorites are made fresh to order daily and served with refreshing draft beer. However, even more authentic than the food at Cockeyed Clam is the fun dining room. Decorated to look like the inside of an old ship, you will see large planks of wood everywhere you look. Other festive decorations include fishing nets, portals, anchors, and other sea accessories. One taste of the chowder at Cockeyed Clam and you will swear that you are right back in Beantown. Their special clam chowder recipe uses large chunks of cherrystone clams and a secret blend of herbs and spices to create a traditional recipe that you won’t find anywhere else on the west coast. Fried clams are a regional favorite in the Northeast and here at the cockeyed clam.
For starters try to the Martha’s Vineyard salad which is served with Boston Bibb lettuce. As an entrée the lobster roll is a favorite. Fresh chunks of lobster are piled high on a bun with light dressing. However, no trip to New England would be complete without a big basket of fried clams. All fried entrees come with the choice of Samual Adams batter or signature panko and cornmeal batter. Either one is delicious and goes perfectly with one of their many draft beers. If fried food doesn’t sound appealing, try the pan-seared Halibut, steamed clams, whole Maine lobster, or one of the many pasta dishes. The fun dining room atmosphere is perfect for kids or adults who are looking to try a taste of the Northeast.
