Don Miguel’s is famous for their $1 frozen margaritas that are served from 2 pm - 6 pm on weekdays. There are a variety of flavors that go perfectly with quesadillas, queso dip, and many other appetizers to create the perfect mid-afternoon snack. The restaurant itself is decorated in bright colors with fun Mexican-themed murals on the wall and ceiling made of mirror and glass which make the room appear infinitely tall. All the dishes at Don Miguel’s are made from scratch and served hot to the table. Order a sizzling tray of fajitas that comes steaming hot from the kitchen. The restaurant is small and friendly and the service is great. Your server will be happy to explain what all of the dishes on the menu consist of if you aren’t familiar with anything. Along with the traditional tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and similar entrees you will find grilled items that are slightly more Americanized. Try the Filet Colorado which is seared to perfection and served thick and juicy. The Chicken Baldasto and the Snapper Cascabal are also some of the non-traditional favorites. For dessert, don’t forget to try the tequila Flan. This dessert is a fun take on the original custard dish with a fiery tequila kick. You may also dry dozens of exotic tequila selections at the tequila bar. All the tortilla used at Don Miguel’s are made by hand each day and guests can watch the chefs rolling out the dough in the exhibition cooking area of the restaurant.
