Empress Court

1/5

Empress Court at Caesars Palace will have you feeling like royalty with their specialty Chinese and Cantonese dishes. Adventurous eaters can enjoy unique dishes like whole fish, shark’s fin, and other traditional Chinese delicacies.

The room is lavishly decorated with a blue sky that lights up (similar to the one not too far from the restaurant in the Forum Shops). Large columns separate the rooms and give it a royal feel. Large oversized seating and private dining rooms make Empress Court a relaxing and decadent place to enjoy some Far East cuisine. The restaurant also offers beautiful views of the gardens; giving it an even more authentic Asian feel. Private dining rooms can accommodate groups of 14 or larger. They offer long dining tables with beautifully decorated Lazy Susans as the centerpiece for the table. This makes it perfect to enjoy many of the a la carte options for family-style eating. For an appetizer try the Cantonese roasted duck, crispy crabmeat seaweed roll, barbeque pork or sparerib, crispy crab claws, moo shu pork, or rainbow shrimp toast. Soups include Westlake beef egg flower soup, hot and sour soup, and sweet cream of corn. Traditional shark’s fin is prepared three ways: braised shark’s fin supreme in savory sauce, braised shark’s fin in brown sauce, or double-boiled shark’s fin. Empress Court also serves fresh Abalone several different ways.

The seven-course tasting menu is a great option for those dining on a budget. Beware though; the tasting menu is only a good option for those with an adventurous palate. Those who are slightly less adventurous may want to try some of the more palatable American-Chinese options on the menu like Sautéed Prime Sirloin with Taro or Kung Pao Chicken.

Don’t be intimidated by the authentic fare. These are once-in-a-lifetime dishes and remember, this is Vegas, so be adventurous!
