Just one of chef Hubert Keller’s many Las Vegas masterpieces is elegantly named Fleur de Lys, which is located at Mandalay Bay. This beautifully executed dining experience is a Las Vegas favorite. However, something this good doesn’t come cheap. Fleur de Lys is one of the most expensive restaurants in town. With over 12,000 bottles of wine to choose from, it is impossible not to find a selection that tickles your taste buds and pairs perfectly with your food. The dining room at Fleur de Lys might be as beautiful as the food. Natural stone is carved into intricate patterns on the walls and a large leaf is made entirely out of flowers. After hours, the party kicks up with a local DJ and a posh lounge that is perfect for young singles. The sexy and young atmosphere is perfect for a first day or a romantic anniversary dinner.
Keller presents French cuisine in a way that is modern and palatable for all patrons. Appetizers include burgundy escargot with garlic and parmesan gnocchi, smoked salmon ravioli with guacamole, and several different salads. Famous entrees include grilled diver scallops, venison ravioli, and oxtail tortellini. Also try, what is considered, one of the best burgers in town, the Kobe beef Fleurburger which is served with foie gras, black truffles, shallots, and a truffle brioche bun. For those looking to try a little of everything tasting menus are available in three, four, and five course dinners. There is also a Vegetarian tasting menu, something that almost no other restaurant in Vegas offers. Fleur de Lys is a favorite and is absolutely a crowd pleaser. Specialty desserts include the chocolate and Grand Marnier Souffle. There are also several options for vegetarians including: baby artichoke salad, fall vegetable tart, risotto of soy bean sprout, and for dessert—minestrone of fresh fruit. There is no better way to impress a date, then by taking them to Fleur de Lys.
