If you can take your eyes off of the décor at Hachi, then you will really enjoy their food. There is so much to look at in this casual yet trendy Japanese restaurant that it can be easy to forget about the food. Hachi looks more like a nightclub, than a restaurant. Decorative shells hang from the ceiling and large interesting seating options make the dining area feel like a lounge. Dark woods and earthy green tones provide a slightly Polynesian look along with the straw accents and artwork on the walls. Although the décor is fun and enough to keep you entertained, the food is not to be missed at Hachi. For an appetizer, try some delicacies like the seared wagu beef sashimi or seafood ceviche. The skewers are another fun way to start your meal. Choose from chicken in a spicy Peruvian sauce, scallops in a soy miso glaze, and beef in a carmelized shallot teriyaki. Also try the seared tuna and foie gras in an Asian pear chutney or braised short ribs in a roasted apple puree. Hachi offers six different kinds of roe in their sushi rolls while many restaurants offer only one. Guests can even order a roll filled with osetra caviar.
Although the entrees are great, Hachi is all about the sushi! Try the crispy salmon skin roll, or the lobster and cucumber roll with chili garlic vinegar. If you aren’t a seafood lover, the seared beef roll with yozu soy will definitely please your palate. Also the crispy lobster tempura roll with thai basil mayo is a must for anyone who loves lobster. There are also three different tasting menus available for under $100 per person. Don’t forget about dessert. Desserts at Hachi include a molten lava cake presented in gold leafing. Start or end the meal with Hachi’s signature lychee martini that is served with an edible orchid blossom. |
