The Tropicana brings a tropical theme to this fun and affordable buffet. This is also one of the only buffets in town that isn’t stuck in the back of a casino. The Island Buffet is located adjacent to their beautiful tropical garden and pool area and offers great views of the 5-acre oasis which includes pools, waterfalls, and colorful plant life. The dining room is simple and calls for little decoration next to the Tropicana garden. The seating area is made up of mostly large booths that are comfortable and welcoming for groups or just a quiet family dinner. At the entrance of the Island Buffet, you may notice large and welcoming aquariums that keep with the theme of the hotel. The buffet serves brunch and dinner daily at more than reasonable prices. Members of the rewards club receive an even further discount.
For breakfast you will find a wide variety of eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, and even a made-to-order omelet station with a chef that will make your omelet with any toppings that you like. You will also find a section of the buffet with any breakfast meat that you can think of. During dinner time you will first want to stop at the large salad bar and fill up your plate with fresh greens and veggies. There is also a carving station with fresh roast beef and freshly carved turkey. The buffet always offers peel-and-eat shrimp as well as prime rib. Try not to fill up on just shrimp because there are plenty of homemade side dishes to go along with your meal. Mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, hot veggies, bread, and plenty of other options go perfectly with the ever changing main dishes offered at Island Buffet. There is also a long dessert station with fresh ice cream, cakes, pies, cookies, and much more.
