A modern eatery with a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, MRKT (pronounced “Market”) Sea & Land at Aliante Station Hotel and Casino may be one of the loveliest off-Strip eateries in Las Vegas. The neutral toned steak and seafood restaurant features rich wood accents, plush banquettes, decorative glass fixtures hanging from the ceiling, and a colorful center bar adorned with panels of different images. A fireplace adds a touch of warmth to the ultra-cool design, and an outdoor patio provides a pleasant dining setting in the warmer seasons.
With an emphasis on steak and seafood and ingredients fresh from the local markets, MRKT Sea & Land serves a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, and grill specialties. Some of the signature (and visually impressive) dishes include a Chilled Seafood Display (with Lobster, Alaskan King Crab, Oysters, and Shrimp), Surf and Turf (Filet Mignon with your choice of Alaskan King Crab or Australian Lobster Tail), and the hearty Prime Rib. For starters, the Calamari is particularly tasty, a crispy fried compilation of calamari, carrots, and zucchini, served with a spicy cocktail sauce for dipping. The Seared Ahi Tuna is also delicious, a circular array of perfectly seared tuna with two sauces and a corn and vegetable mix.
For the main course, MRKT Sea & Land offers plenty of a la carte carnivorous and seafaring options, from the Porterhouse to the Grilled Hawaiian Swordfish and Blackened Mahi Mahi. A variety of sauces to dress up your meal is available upon request, such as a Red Wine Reduction, Hollandaise or Bearnaise, or the signature MRKT Steak Sauce. And be sure to order at least one of the delicious side dishes, whether it’s the creamy Spinach and Cheese Tomatoes or the flavor-packed Sautéed Button Mushrooms.
For dessert, MRKT offers a variety of sinful delights, including a Pineapple Upside Down Cake and the simple but sweet Caramel Apples. A classic dessert, however, is our favorite – the Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, served in a cast-iron saucepan with plenty of warm and gooey richness.
The restaurant also has an impressive wine list with over 5,000 bottles, 300 labels, and 20 wines available by the glass. A live piano player every night also makes it a romantic setting for a date or a comfortable place to nosh with friends. Ultimately, for an off-Strip eatery, MRKT Sea & Land is a surprisingly tasty and elegantly adorned treat. |
