Mainland is anything but your typical noodle shop! Using the typical communal seating of authentic noodle shops, Mainland recreates it with plush beige seating areas with accents of reds, olives, and subdued purples. The floor is covered with black and white checkers, similar to that of a diner, and there are swirling columns handing from the ceiling, adding to the organic feel of the restaurant and balancing out the space of the room. This restaurant has serious personality, as if you couldn’t tell from quirky décor! Paired with these bold interior design elements are the intricate and bold flavors of the Asian cuisine.
Mainland focuses on China’s unquestionable, and widespread, influence of cuisine throughout Asia. Mainland takes all of the Asian cultures and mixes them into one heck of a restaurant! The one link that all of the Asian cultures have are noodles, and Mainland capitalizes on this commonality. Tracing the Asian influence through noodles, Mainland creates fabulous rice and noodle dishes such as crispy rice salad, pad thai, and signature smoked tofu rice noodles. Start with a small dish calamari or a green salad with wine vinaigrette. For your main meal, you can enjoy a plethora of soups, noodle dishes, or rice bowls. All of the soups come highly recommended, but our favorite is by far the Wonton Crispy Noodle Soup. The rice and noodle dishes are wonderful and bring out all of the flavors inspired by the Asian culture. Noodle and rice dishes are paired with different flavors of chicken, duck, beef, shrimp, and vegetables. The cocktail and beverage menu should not be neglected! There are great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, so you need to make sure you check it out! The menu favorites are the milkshakes. They come in wonderful unique flavors, such as banana, durian, sweet rice, and the ever popular toasted marshmallow! The bubble teas are also worth trying!
The best thing about this restaurant is that it is great food at a great price! The Palazzo has some of the more expensive restaurants in town, but this place allows you to get that great expensive hotel feel without breaking your budget!
