Since opening with the Bellagio, on its opening day in October 1998, Olives by Todd English has been a restaurant staple in Las Vegas. Todd English truly set the tone for all of the other Vegas restaurants with his high class and unique cuisine establishments. English’s original Olives restaurant opened in Charlestown, Massachusetts in April 1989. Having great success in Massachusetts, Olives soon expanded to other locations such as the W Hotel at Union Square in New York City, Washington D.C., the St. Regis in Aspen, CO, and, of course, the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Todd English has had great success with his Olives locations and his other restaurants as well. Today, English owns and operates 17 restaurants throughout the country, has his own line of cookware products, and has even been recognized in People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People.” The recognition of Todd English as one of the most beautiful people in People Magazine comes as no surprise! His beautiful cooking, charismatic personality, and classy taste shine through at his Olives Las Vegas restaurant.
Overlooking Lake Bellagio, Olives presents a casual romantic setting for both lunch and dinner. Olives recently underwent renovation and is now back, and better than ever. Using romantic reds and blacks set to a candlelight-like glow, you will immediately be relaxed. Olive branches with adorning candles set the mood of the room, and the view doesn’t hurt either. You can choose to dine inside or out on their acclaimed 50 seat patio, overlooking the Bellagio Fountain show.
Olives presents interpretive modern Mediterranean cuisine. They have a great selection of house-made pastas, steaks, flatbreads, and more. Best known for their tapenade dish, you are sure to be pleased. For lunch, stop by for traditional lunch menu items with a twist. Try their Olives Burger served with parmesan fries or their roasted Portobello Panini served with fried pickle chips. For dinner, start with their jumbo lump crab cakes, “Greek” style romaine salad, or their tuna tartare. For your entrée, opt to try one of their famed flatbreads. One of their more unique flatbreads is the sweet potato flatbread with sliced sweet potatoes, carmelized onions, capicola, roasted scallions, and an apple cider glaze. They also have a wide selection of pastas, such as ricotta ravioli and butternut squash tortelli. Entrees include pan roasted Mahi Mahi, pan seared jumbo sea scallops, grilled sirloin, and a delicious beef tenderloin au poivre served with horseradish mashed potatoes. You really cannot go wrong with anything on this beautiful menu.
