You know you have come to the right place to dine on Italian food in Vegas when the restaurant has been voted “Best Italian Restaurant” by the Las Vegas Concierge Association. Serving classic-rustic Italian cuisine with American modernism, Onda at the Mirage is sure to be a crowd pleaser, even for the most finicky of Italian food enthusiasts. Using American and Mediterranean influences, Onda gives a great new slant on Italian cuisine. As soon as you walk in you will feel welcome and at ease by the crisp and clean décor. With white granite countertops, a white stained brick facade, rich gold chandeliers, light colored hard wood floors, and glass accents, a great ambiance is set for a wonderful Italian meal.
Creating their own homemade pastas and breads, flying in fresh vegetables from around the world, and preparing only the freshest of meats and seafood for their guests, you are sure to be pleased by Onda’s authentic Italian cooking. Fresh bread is delivered to your table by your server, who will prepare a great olive oil based dipping sauce. Start your meal off with one of their great Antipasti dishes, soups, or fresh salads. We highly recommend the Antipasti Platter to share amongst the table or their fresh Caprese Salad, with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, red onions, and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. For the main course, they have many traditional Italian dishes as well as specialty items. You can never go wrong with classic Italian favorites, such as Fettuccine Alfredo, Rigatoni Bolognese, and Italian Lasagna. Why not be adventurous and try something new? Their Four Cheese Eggplant Rollatini comes highly recommended. It is eggplant that has been egg-dipped and fried, filled with ricotta, mozzarella, fontina, and parmesan cheese, and then topped with the warm pomodoro sauce. Another house favorite is the Osso Bucco, braised veal shank served over risotto Milanese. Dessert can be heavy on top of a hearty Italian meal, but not here. Try their light chocolate mousse cake or their fine assortment of sorbets, with great flavors such as champagne grape or caramelized grape. Onda is a great meal from start to finish!
