For a fun, campy dining experience that the whole family will love, head to Roxy’s Diner at the Stratosphere, where the food doesn’t take itself too seriously and neither do the servers – but more on that later. A blast from the past, Roxy’s is an old-fashioned 50’s themed diner complete with jukebox machines, checkered tile floors, aluminum accents, and colorful walls and lights.
Serving up classic American comfort food, Roxy’s is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with plenty of starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and blue-plate specials available for enthusiastic consumption. Kick things off with the angel hair onion rings if you’re not watching your figure – they’re none too healthy, but crispy and addictive. Then for a hearty main course, try the Mile High Stack, a mountainous sandwich of grilled turkey breast, Swiss cheese, alfalfa sprouts, shredded lettuce, and tomato slices, topped with those sinful angel-hair onion rings and special sauce, stacked high between your choice of bread. Roxy’s Burger is also a popular favorite, a meaty one-half burger served with lettuce, onion, and tomato.
Roxy’s is also famous for their blue-plate specials, which include favorites like your mom used to make, such as the aptly named Mom’s Meatloaf dinner. And be sure to couple any meal with one of the diner’s signature shakes, which can be ordered in a souvenir glass likeness of the Stratosphere.
But what makes Roxy’s a particularly standout place on the Strip is its wait staff. Not only do these cheerful and polite ladies and gentlemen take your order and refresh your drinks, but they also provide entertainment throughout your meal. Accompanied by a DJ, the servers occasionally take a break from serving to sing rock and roll classics, and they’re actually quite talented. So long as you’re not a particularly demanding or uptight diner, you’ll find the entertainment fun and relaxing.
A great place to eat for families or groups of friends looking for a good time, Roxy’s Diner provides generous portions of American favorites in a nostalgic and casual atmosphere. |
