There is much more than just rum to enjoy at Rumjungle in Mandalay Bay. Although the rum bar is 144 feet long and 19 feet high, the food is the star of this restaurant before the nightclub gets hot. The menu is mostly American classics with a Brazilian twist. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you will feel as though you’ve gotten lost on a tropical island. Order one of their famous rum drinks and the tropical flavors will have you melting away among the atmosphere of fire pits, waterfalls, and lots of colorful décor.
The restaurant also offers several different dining options. Guests may either order off of the regular menu or order the all-you-can-eat Brazilian Fire Pit. The Fire Pit includes chicken, beef, lamb, salmon, scallops, and shrimp. The meats are all cooked in different ways and you can order as many times as you’d like. The Fire Pit also comes with salads, sides, rice, and beans. Most people order the Fire Pit as it is the most traditional way of eating Brazilian barbeque. Other favorite items include the Jambalaya, skirt steak, blue corn calamari, and steak tacos. After you get your fill or succulent meats, the restaurant closes up and turns into a hip nightclub with dancers, aerialists, flair bartenders, and a spectacular light show. There is so much to see and do at rumjungle that it can be easy to spend an entire day and night there. Don’t forget about the drinks. The Volcano, Jungle Juice, and Drunky Monkey are some of the favorites.
