The Sahara Hotel is one of the older properties on the Strip, which means it is still hanging on to that old Las Vegas mentality of cheap buffets. This one is a great deal and a great selection. With a player’s club card, the buffet is only $6.99 for dinner on some nights. This price is very hard to beat and it draws in locals as well as travelers on a budget. Their home style buffet offers mostly traditional favorites like their famous prime rib, pizza, salad, fried chicken and other classic dishes. For breakfast stop by the made-to-order omelet station where you can have your eggs or an omelet made any way you like with any topping that you like. Also enjoy hot pancakes, waffles, and French toast served everyday. A breakfast favorite is the apple filled pancakes. Hot coffee, juices, muffins, pastries, and cereal are also available at great prices. For lunch, try the salad bar which is one of the biggest in town. You will also find a large selection of fruits, cheeses, pastas, sandwiches and other lunch options. For dinner there are carving stations set up all around the buffet including a turkey carving station and a prime rib carving station. Add on a few home made sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, fresh veggies, and many other options. Don’t forget to try the clam chowder or another fresh appetizer from the salad bar. After dinner, stop by the dessert station and try a fresh baked muffin, cookies, or some ice cream.
Another great feature of the buffet at the Sahara is the self-serve beverage station. Many buffets have waiters bring the drinks but at this buffet you can help yourself to as many different glasses of soda, juice, tea, coffee, and milk that you would like. |
