With a feel that’s just as high-profile as the nightclub, Tao Asian Bistro offers delicious specialty entrees from Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, and Thai backgrounds. And just as the after hours spot does, the restaurant serves everything with luxurious elegance and attention to detail. Using the décor prominent in the “Asian city,” TAO is lavishly decorated with lush velvets, rich silks, waterfalls, and century old stones and wood. The 20-foot-tall Buddha acts as the center piece for the restaurant, as it towers over an infinity pond filled with authentic Japanese carp. His presence along with the reflecting ponds creates an atmosphere that calms and soothes while you enjoy a delicious meal.
Head Chef, Sam Hazen, has teamed up with master chefs from all across Asia to provide authentic Asian cuisine. For an appetizer, try the Miso Soup with tofu and mahogany clams. It’s like no Miso soup you’ve ever tried. For dinner, specialties include: Miso glazed Chilean Seabass with Wok vegetables or the Kobe Beef cooked in a ginger scallion broth with Wasabi dipping sauce. For dessert try one of Tao’s signature giant fortune cookies filled with white chocolate and milk chocolate mousse.
This restaurant is a great location for a birthday, anniversary, or just a casual dinner. The dining room has a lively up-tempo feel but the tables are intimate enough to not feel like you’re on display. Tao Asian Bistro is beautiful, luxurious, and delicious. You absolutely must try it when visiting Las Vegas!
