The Café offers casual American cuisine with a Las Vegas twist. All the food is prepared fresh with gourmet touches and although there are many cafes in Las Vegas, The Café at Mandalay Bay is considered one of the most upscale. This sophisticated space looks nothing like your average coffee shop. The eatery looks more like an ultra-lounge than a diner. The large open dining room takes on the grand décor of the lobby at THEHotel. Marble floors and large leather booths are complemented by dramatic white curtains. Black-suede upholstered chairs and clean lines give the place a chic look. The menu can be considered fusion with many worldly influences. Possibly, the most sophisticated coffee shop in town. Jazz and other light music plays through the speakers for a relaxing after-party experience. The Café serves homemade dishes with flair. For breakfast, options travel the globe. Enjoy a taste of France with brioche French toast with figs, peaches, and crème fraiche or travel to the south with Niman Ranch Ham with two eggs, white grits, gravy, and toast. The house favorite at the café, however, is the lobster and brie omelet.
For lunch, the Café also offers several healthier options like a Portobello panini sandwich with vegetables and balsamic vinegar. California style options like the mahi mahi tacos are, also, a great choice for lunch. Dinner entrees include grilled salmon with fingerling potatoes and pan roasted chicken with black truffles. Also, for dinner, try the zin-beef short ribs. The ribs are slow cooked in wine and then served with a mushroom risotto. As you can see, this is not your average coffee shop fare by any means. The Café also offers many of the sandwiches that you are used to finding at any other cafe. This restaurant is a popular spot to come after the clubs closed because it is possibly the best food that you can get late at night. |
