With his catch phrase, “I Love Orange Chicken,” comedian Jo Koy has embarked on a comedy career that continues to transcend his goals. After over 15 years of stand-up under his belt, Koy is taking on the bright lights of Las Vegas and audience members will soon see why he’s been named as one of the “10 comics to watch”!

With his infectious and explosive energy, Koy brings his sharp observational jokes and family inspired humor to the stage for a night of complete hilarity! His dynamic energy on stage and charismatic and approachable persona have fans hailing him as “a comic for the people.”

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Koy credits his mother for his comedic and acting talents. His mother constantly encouraged him to try out for school talent shows or present impromptu performances for his family and friends. Eventually this encouragement lead Koy to an open mic-night in a Las Vegas coffee house in 1994 and he hasn’t looked back since.

 Since his time at the Las Vegas coffee house, Koy has gone on to star in several TV stand-up specials from BET Comic View to Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza! Koy has won the Showtime at the Apollo, performed in front of troops in the USO Tour, can be seen on various VH1 I Love the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and New Milleniuim episodes, AMP’D Mobile Phone commercials, and received a second invite to the Montreal comedy festival—Just For Laughs, the series for which he was awarded Canada’s prestigious Gemini Award. Koy is also a regular guest at Chelsea Handler’s roundtable discussion on E!’s Chelsea Lately. But perhaps one of Koy’s biggest claims to fame was his appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Show in 2005 where he was one of a select few to ever receive a standing ovation on the show. Koy has also appeared on Carlos Mencia’s “Punisher Tour” performing stand-up comedy in front of fans filling 10,000-seat areans across the country.

As of today, Koy is a regular featured comedian at the world famous Improv, tours the college circuit nationwide and performs in comedy clubs both in the U.S. and internationally and now he’s taking his energetic comedy routine to the Las Vegas Mirage for a night of uncontrollable laughter!
