LE RÊVE - The Dream (French for “the dream”) will take the audience on a fantastical journey through a subconscious world. Watch dreams take flight in LE RÊVE - The Dream's custom built theater-in-the-round. Seats rise above a 1-million gallon tank that allows performers to enter and exit from both sea and sky. The theater itself houses 1,606 seats, but not one is more than 12 rows up from the water. The theater recently underwent a makeover during which seats were actually removed to create a more intimate setting than most arena-style shows. The seats are now oversized, plush, and very comfortable, making LE RÊVE - The Dream Theatre "the dream" venue. The show is based on a series of dream sequences, opening with a woman on a bed that begins to descend into the water when she falls asleep.  From there the audience follows her through a kaleidoscope of thoughts and ideas. Some dreams are bright; some are dark; and some can even be considered sexual or controversial. The story is told in a unique fashion, using aerial-acrobatics, synchronized swimming, and amazing feats of athleticism. Highlights of the show include a classic synchronized swimming routine with girls wearing fire-engine red high heels with only their feet shown above the water as they kick in perfect rhythm with the music. LE RÊVE - The Dream also offers a slice of comedy to the show with four “angels” who appear and re-appear throughout the show with humorous gags that are mostly mimed. LE RÊVE - The Dream gets its name from a 1932 Pablo Picasso painting depicting a woman, who is said to be his mistress at the time, sleeping in a chair. However, the painting is called the dream because it represents Picasso’s dream image of the woman instead of the other way around. Hotel mogul, Steve Wynn, owns the original painting and hand picked the name for the show based on his beloved piece of art. Eighty-seven performers from 17 different countries make up the stunning and dynamic cast of LE RÊVE - The Dream. The combination of state-of-the-art lighting and serene water effects make LE RÊVE - The Dream one of the most beautiful and artistic shows to date. The stage itself rises and falls from the water creating different spaces and platforms for the performers to bring into play for their acrobatic attempts, including an 87-foot high dive. If the calming blue lighting and peaceful water fountains don't impress, the simple amazement of human ability will have you leaving the theater saying, "I must’ve been dreaming".
