The answers to the mystery of life are expressed with extreme acrobatics at Treasure Island, Las Vegas.  Mystère ™ is classic Cirque du Soleil ®; it is all the excitement and wonder you want to see at a circus, plus unique sets, bright and intricate costumes, live music, comedy and more.  Their blend of music, storytelling, and high energy thrills make Mystère ™ a Las Vegas show not to be missed.

The Artists

If you are looking for pure excitement, the stage of Mystère ™ will satisfy even the most thrill-hungry showgoer.  The artists in Mystère™ are some of the most talented on the strip.  The combination of stamina, strength, and balance of the two hand to hand brothers is gracefully remarkable.  The two brawny Alexis brothers perform hand maneuvers that demonstrate unimaginable body control all the while on a rotating dome.  Also, there’s the Korean plank, which is basically a seesaw that is used to propel the footmen of Mystère ™ high above the stage.  As one falls, the other is launched and performs complex somersaults or lands to complete a human pyramid.  The list of highly specialized performers continues with an aerialist that flies above the crowd and bungee jumpers who swing and twirl through the air with colorfully flowing costumes that paint the top of the arena like fireworks. It is no wonder why Mystère ™ has mystified audiences; it was the first Cirque du Soleil® show in Las Vegas and still one of the most popular.

Audience Participation

Get into the show!  If you are lucky, you might be called to help some of the intermittent acts of Mystère ™.  The clown, Brian Le Petit, is a mischievous character in Mystère ™ that interacts with the audience.  Troublesome and loud, his street style theatrics always seems the win people over, not to mention hilarious.  On the other hand, there’s the gargantuan baby and his antics are fun and playful.  If he chooses you to play with him, beware he drools.  The side acts lighten the stage with some comedic breaks and engages the audience members head-on for a Las Vegas experience to remember.

Why Mystère ™?

Brightly feathered costumes interlaced with skilled acrobatics create an elegant spectacle, Mystère ™. With memorable music, Mystère ™ merges timeless physical feats with an unforgettable production that has enchanted audiences since its inception.  Every detail is perfectly executed from the bird-like strut of the Red Bird character to the comic timing of clowns.  See the reasons why Mystère ™ paved the way for six more Cirque du Soleil® shows in Las Vegas.

Did you Know?

  • The snail is called Alice.
  • The giant inflatable version of Alice is controlled by four puppeteers inside her; they guide the puppet by looking at markings on the floor.
  • The biggest taiko drum in the show weights half a ton and cannot leave the theater because there is no exit large enough.
  • The amazing make-up of Mystère ™ is self-applied by each artist.
