Welcome to the world of "O," at the Bellagio. With a production that has never been attempted, let alone imagined, until now, this Vegas show is sure to amaze you with a combination of both aerial and aquatic performances. "O" is titled for the way in which eau (the French word for water) is pronounced. As Cirque’s ONLY aquatic show, "O" explores the essential and often unnoticed role that water plays in our lives and the elegance and infinity of water in its purest form.

The $70 million "O" theater is as beautifully decorated as the Bellagio itself and incorporates many of the themes already prevalent throughout the hotel and casino. Bellagio is named after a lake-side resort in Italy and the hotel in Vegas is home to its own artificial eight acre lake famous for its shooting fountains. "O" brings this theme inside the hotel by utilizing a 1.5 million gallon pool throughout the production. Pay close attention though, the water will appear and re-appear right before your eyes. The theater is reminiscent of an Italian opera house with lavish balconies and a beautiful blue ceiling that seems to represent the sky reflecting the water below and vise versa.

From the very beginning the audience is taken on a journey that flows from baptism to boat rides, to amazing displays of synchronized swimming, ballet, and acrobatics. "O," like any Cirque du Soleil show, also incorporates amazing acts of human strength which are performed by over 81 performers on a seemingly permanent varnished floor that will cover the massive lake in a mater of seconds.

"O" is an aquatic tapestry composed of theatrical elements and surrealism. Having been viewed by over 2 million patrons and having been named as the Best Las Vegas Production Show for the 2^nd year in a row, there is no reason to pass up this opportunity while in Vegas. In contrast to some other Cirque du Soleil shows, in which the focus is directed more towards individual characters, "O" is an engulfing show that will take place all around you leaving no room to direct your focus on any one element.
