She is outrageously funny but at the same time, she keeps things surprisingly PG. Although young children may not understand some of her humor, it is unlikely that she will offend anyone. She needs no fancy Las Vegas tricks. She has no band, no singers, no dancers, no filler - just Rita Rudner, which is really all the audience needs to enjoy this classic stand-up act. However, underneath the soft exterior is an intelligent wit and an intuitive sense for finding comedy in everyday observations. Rita Rudner definitely has made a name for herself on television. She has performed on “The Tonight Show with David Letterman,” she’s performed on “Comic Relief,” and she’s even hosted her own stand-up specials on HBO. Leaving home at age 15, Rita Rudner decided to move to New York to pursue her acting career. She actually did quite well on Broadway for several years. She was a talented singer and dancer. However, Rudner got tired of sharing the spotlight and decided to make a name for herself as a solo performer so she decided to step into the mostly uncharted (at least by women) comedy scene. She is now headlining at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and she is a crowd favorite. Rita Rudner’s jokes are simple but they never cease to please the audience. She is warm, friendly, and almost impossible not to fall in love with. Her act is a refreshing addition to the Strip. She is performing in an intimate theater at the Flamingo and space is limited, so be sure to book in advance. Rita Rudner is a class act! |
