See the King back where he belongs on stage in Las Vegas.  Cirque du Soleil ® with a partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises has taken the life, magic and wonder of the “King of Rock and Roll” and transformed it into a one of kind Cirque du Soleil experience, Viva Elvis ™ at the Aria Resort & Casino at City Center.  Combining expert acrobatics with specialized dances and unique stage props and physical effects, Viva Elvis ™ will have the theater singing along and swaying to a live band performing Elvis’ adorned music with the King’s voice the only male singer.  It took over 3,000 hours to analyze the many albums, films, interviews, concerts and home recordings to put together a show that delivers the grandeur of Elvis LIVE.

Musical Acts
You’ve never seen a “Jailhouse Rock” like in Viva Elvis ™.  Inmates escape and dance in a huge jailhouse set piece.  While others are attached to the ceiling by their feet and that allows them to run upside down and twirl around through the air.  All of which, makes for an exuberant and fun rock party, and it’s only a taste of the aerobic performances.  The trampoline act features seven trampolines and seven superheroes in tights defying gravity as their unified cascades of jumps and flips interlace.  Overwhelming the senses, they make it seem as they can fly as they make smooth transitions from a trampoline to the wall then a kick and flip back to a trampoline, really showing the audience they “Got a Lot of Livin’ to Do.” But under all routines like the aerial acts, fire lassos, and the one-armed handstand on eight coarsely stacked chairs, there is the music and life of Elvis Presley, the most extravagant tribute in Las Vegas.

• To create the show, they went through 3,000 hours of Elvis videos and 17,000 samples of audio recordings.
• The lasso in the Western number is 40ft long.
• The American flag fabric in the Return to Sender sequence is genuine long underwear and boxer shorts, and the flag has only 48 stars, as it was when Elvis was in the service in 1958.
• There is an Elvis themed lounge at the Aria Resort and Casino called Gold boutique nightclub and lounge created by Cirque du Soleil.
• The superheroes in the trampoline act were inspired by the Marvel comics that Elvis read as little boy.
• The wedding cake is a scale reproduction of Elvis’ wedding cake when her married Priscilla.
