With all the wedding chapels in Las Vegas, it’s hard to find one that truly stands out. However, the Graceland Wedding Chapel, THE original home of the Elvis wedding, has never seemed to have that problem. A staple in Las Vegas for more than 50 years, the chapel still gets rave reviews from everyone who holds their wedding there.
Built in 1927, the chapel performs about 200 weddings per week and is owned by Brendan Paul, who is also the resident Elvis impersonator. Elvis and the staff are committed to providing guests whatever they need for the perfect wedding; they offer fresh or silk flowers, digital photography, limousine service, DVD recording technology, and they can even broadcast a ceremony over the internet so that loved ones who are far away won’t miss out on the special moment.
Whether it’s a romantic traditional wedding or a fun Elvis-style wedding, the Graceland Wedding Chapel can fulfill all your needs. Elvis will even provide you with custom wedding vows that include lines such as, “I promise not to treat you like a hound dog,” and “I promise to be your hunk of burning love” – though you can certainly opt for a traditional vow, or write your own. The chapel’s small interior, white pews, dark blond wood walls, stained-glass windows, and quaint décor make it the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. There’s also a white pastoral-style gazebo outside complete with a bridge and white picket fence, a great backdrop for photographs.
The chapel has been the host to several celebrity weddings, including those of Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Ray Cyrus, Aaron Neville, and several members of popular musical groups. It’s also been featured in films such as Fools Rush In as well as TV shows such as the CBS Early Show, Good Morning America, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. For a beautiful ceremony you will remember for years to come, the Graceland Wedding Chapel is a classic Las Vegas wedding spot.
