The Stained Glass Chapel is one of the oldest and most unique places to get married in Las Vegas. Conveniently located near the courthouse downtown, the chapel was originally built in 1932 as a home by prisoners from the local jail, who were recruited by the owner of the house at that time, the Las Vegas sheriff. Some of the materials used in the construction were authentic Native American Petroglyphs and stones, which you can still see imbedded in the walls. Now designated a historic site, the Stained Glass Chapel features an Old English hand-carved pulpit from the 1700s, deacon chairs, and hand-made lead glass doors, as well as other unusual and attractive antiques spread throughout the complex. The chapel also features a Stained Glass Cathedral and an outdoor pool for photo opportunities and swims after ceremonies.
The Stained Glass Chapel offers several packages for traditional weddings and Elvis weddings, as well as custom packages. Features include wedding consultants, photography, videography, flowers (silk and fresh), witnesses, garters, and special wedding keepsakes. With the Elvis package, Elvis performs three songs and walks the bride down the aisle. Limousine service is also offered separately from the packages, as well as wedding cakes. Moreover, the Stained Glass Chapel’s motto is, “It’s the bride’s day and the bride’s way” – in other words, the staff will go to whatever lengths to make sure that all the wedding details are in accordance with the bride’s wishes.
Though there are certainly other chapels in Las Vegas with more variety in the way of packages, the Stained Glass Chapel offers a unique and beautiful location in which to tie the knot. With all its historic and antique touches, the chapel has a lot of character, which will lend a special touch to your special day.
