There are a few hotspots in town to enjoy all your favorite games, including March Madness!! However, your favorite watering hole may depend on your favorite sport. Nascar fans will love the NASCAR Café at the Sahara. Those looking to actually get into the game and play some arcade games should go to the ESPN Zone. They will be showing all your favorite games as you play in the arcade. If you’re looking for a traditional neighborhood sports bar, where you can argue about the game with the person sitting next to you, then go to Blondies at Planet Hollywood.
NASCAR Café is a great place to watch the race. The theme inside this place is clear. The entire restaurant is shaped like a racing track and there is a car in the center of the room above the bar. TV screens are everywhere and it is almost impossible to miss one second of the race from any seat in the house. The signature drink appropriately named “the Nascar” is a creamy strawberry drink that fans adore. Don’t forget to order one! The restaurant serves all our favorite bar foods like chicken fingers, burgers, pizzas, pastas, and even delicious puller pork and baby back ribs. After filling up, test your own driving skills in a race car simulator. The more adventurous might want to ride the roller coaster, SPEED, which reaches speeds of 70 mph. This ride is a favorite among Las Vegas coasters. There is also an arcade area for those who would rather keep their feet on the ground. The NASCAR Café is the very best spot for racing fans. There is also a large gift shop.
However, the favorite all around sports bar on the Las Vegas Strip is the ESPN Zone at New York-New York. This restaurant is huge. There’s a kid’s area, an arcade, and a huge restaurant with TV’s so big that there’s no way you could miss a thing. You’ll feel like you’re right on the field, when watching a game on these gigantic screens. The restaurant offers cushioned leather chairs with stereos in the head-rests, if you really want to get into the game. More comfortable booths offer their own TV screen, enabled with touch screen technology for either changing the channel or for looking up sports statistics on the internet. ESPN Zone also offers delicious food in their restaurants. They have burgers, chicken, pizza, sandwiches, and any other game-food you could imagine. There is also an entire story dedicated to their arcade area, so you can watch the game as you play in the arcade. Sports are everywhere in this place. Even the placemats are printed with daily sports news and statistics. No sports fan can say they’ve been to Vegas without visiting the ESPN Zone.
For a more traditional sports bar feel, try Blondies at Planet Hollywood. This place is built to look just like the traditional neighborhood sports bar, except that it’s inside a huge casino. Sports fan’s who are looking to get away from the smoke in the sports book or let their wives shop at the Miracle Mile Shops will love Blondies. The small bar and restaurant plays all the major games on 35 plasma TV screens. They also serve some delicious food, including a full breakfast. Most of the food here is typical of what you’d find in any local bar: sandwiches, burgers, pizza, wings, salads and delicious deserts are all on the menu. They’ll serve up whatever you’re in the mood for as you enjoy a delicious beer on tap. Everyone becomes friends over a few beers at Blondies and it will soon be one of your favorite spots in town.
