So Uncle Sam finally paid you back for all that hard work you did last year and on top of that you got a stimulus package from Uncle George? Great! Now, before you go and do something crazy like buy something you might actually use with your tax refund check why not come to Vegas and have the time of your life instead? Sure, your time in Vegas may not last forever. But chances are that new plasma TV you were gonna buy instead will be obsolete in a few years anyways. So, why not take a trip to Las Vegas. Who knows you might even win it all back once you’re here anyways. Anything’s possible. There are a few things you may want to keep in mind when spending your tax refund check on a trip to Vegas. Book your trip now instead of a month from now when everyone is actually cashing in their checks. Prices on flights, hotels, and shows tend to go up around high-traffic times. Now the next thing you must do is decide which type of Vegas trip is right for you. Was your check exceedingly large this year and you want to pretend to be a high-roller for a weekend or maybe you want to stretch your money and spend an entire week in Vegas? Either way, we can help you out. Everyone wants to look like a high-roller for a day, get the royal treatment, and maybe attract a few members of the opposite sex. The best part about Vegas is you really can pretend to be someone you are not. Step 1: Apon arrival in Las Vegas head to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and buy (or even rent) a fancy suit. Step 2: Rent a limo for the day. Step 3: Sit at a high limit table and get the attention of a casino host. Now, everything should start to fall into place. Most likely after a few hands of high-limit poker, the casino host will start treating you like a king by offering free dinners, shows, etc. Once you have an extra show ticket or a reservation for two you may want to start looking for a date. It shouldn’t be hard while riding in a limo and wearing a designer suit. At this point you may want to make up a back story i.e. a fake profession, residence, etc. Now the downside to this type of trip is that you probably will only be able to afford to do this for a day or so before heading back to reality. Those of you looking to stretch-out your Las Vegas trip won’t have a problem either. First you will want to stay in a more reasonably priced hotel. A few nice choices on the strip are Flamingo, Excalibur, or New York-New York. You also might want to enjoy some of the less expensive buffets in town instead of eating at top restaurants. During the day enjoy free activities like free shows or just exploring the strip. This way you can maximize your trip and enjoy a longer stay. Although the money from your tax refund check is actually money that you earned, it really does seem like free money so why not spend it that way. Splurge a little and treat yourself to a trip to Sin City.
