Hello, Hello, Hello! Sorry for the delay of recent Ranting Redhead articles…but the time off from the column has all led up to this…the BestOfVegas.com Launch Party! IT WAS HUGE! It was a star-studded event that truly embodied everything that Las Vegas is all about and I was there to get all of the inside scoop. Glitz. Glamour. Celebrities. Music. And, non-stop partying! All of it was there…and in full-force, at that!
The new Palazzo Hotel and Casino is the epitome of class! The hotel is luxury at its finest, so it would only make sense to hold a star-studded event there! Nestled into the Shoppes at the Palazzo, the party was held at the Sugarcane Lounge at SushiSamba! The event started with a complete red-carpet affair! Paparazzi, media, photographers, and MORE surrounded the red-carpet leading into the event! They all patiently awaited the guest list of celebs and Las Vegas personalities.
NBA star of the Los Angeles Clippers, Baron Davis, showed up on the red carpet with a laid back and ready to party vibe. The NBA star arrived, walking in with a walking cane and outfit that some may shake their head at…but I enjoyed his style! Davis wore dark baggy denim jeans, a black graphic tee, gray vest, a fedora’esque hat, and colorful Air Force Ones. Laid-back, simple, and approachable. I like it. In a town filled with everyone always dressing to the nines, it’s refreshing to see someone dressed casually and ready to just have a good time! Celebrity socialite, and business woman, Nicky Hilton arrived in a short navy mini-dress with cream accents. It is rumored that her dress was one from her very own clothing lines, Nicholai and CHICK. Her chic mini-dress was dressed up with matching paten-leather sling back heels. Very cute! Classy casual, yet chic!
Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith, walked the carpet in a GREAT form-fitting black mini dress with matching peep-toe pumps. She really did look stunning! Her hair, make-up, jewelry, everything…the look was flawless. Rasheda Ali, daughter of the late-great boxer Muhammad Ali, looked chic with black leather pants, a white long sleeve collared shirt, and a black satin corset over her top. Kourtney Kardashian, star of Keeping up with the Kardashians and older sister to Kim Kardashian, arrived at the party with close friend Courtenay Semel, daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel. Kourtney was the host of the event, along with Nicky Hilton, wearing a lace covered romper and peep toe pumps. LOVED THE SHOES! They appeared to be Christian Louboutin, and if that’s the case…you go girl! Any girl that wears Christian Louboutin heels is a friend of mine! The girl has taste! Her look was very well-put-together and perfect for her tiny petite figure. Courtenay Semel wore a sparkling copper mini dress and was adorned with a silver cross necklace. Also in attendance was Jon Kelley, host of ABC’s The Mole, looking great in a sharp black suit and black button down shirt.
Oh, and what’s that you ask? What was I wearing? Ohh…a black strapless BCBGMaxAzria number with an iron colored design, black peep toe pumps, and my red hair as my accessory (of course)!
Once all of the celebs were in to the Sugarcane Lounge, the party really started to pick up! For the most part, the celebrities remained at their own tables for the majority of the party. Nicky Hilton primarily remained at her own table with her friends. She was extremely nice and we chatted for a little about her new clothing line! After the party she headed over to Blush at the Wynn, but soon exited to go elsewhere. Baron Davis hung out by his table for the majority of the night. Rachel Smith and Kourtney Kardashian both mingled over by his table on and off throughout the night. Rachel Smith was as sweet as can be, and same with Kourtney Kardashian! I told Kourtney that I wish her mom would have come too (because she is hilarious on the show and I love her). Kourtney laughed and responded by saying, “I know my mom is pretty amazing!” AGREED! Kardashian and her crew were being filmed the entire evening by E! Entertainment, for the renewed third season of Keeping up with the Kardashians. However, Keeping up with the Kardashians got very little drama at the party on film…well at least from what I could tell. After the party though…a COMPLETELY different story!
What better spot to cause a stir than in Las Vegas? Courtenay Semel caused a “little bit” of a ruckus at PURE Nightclub following the BestOfVegas.com Launch Party! After leaving SushiSamba, Courtenay headed to PURE nightclub (a favorite nightclub of the women she has been romantically linked to, such as Tila Tequila and Lindsay Lohan). Towards the end of the night at PURE, Courtenay allegedly lost her cell phone. Courtenay went up to a security guard to inquire about it and got a little temperamental about losing her phone. Courtenay then proceeded to slap the guard in the back on the head! Not a good idea…Cited for battery, Courtenay was detained by Caesars Palace security and then released. Semel must now choose whether to take the fine charged to her or to return to Las Vegas justice court later this year.
Overall, the party was a huge success! Every celebrity I talked with had a great time and was excited to be there! BestOfVegas.com featured not only a list of celebrities in attendance, but a star-studded video FILLED to the brim with celebrity endorsements and celebrities talking about the site! Eli Manning, Zac Efron, Mary Steenburgen of Elf and Stepbrothers, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Simpson, Tom Arnold, David Hasselhoff, and MORE were all in the video! It really was impressive!
I know there are a lot of “haters” out there who are questioning this “new Vegas website” that has just appeared on the scene…BUT…five words…force to be reckon with! This party was extremely impressive. Celebrities, a hip location, media coverage, and more…this website is not messing around!
