Tourists who travel to Las Vegas now have the opportunity to explore one of nature’s most fascinating sites by bike! The Grand Canyon South Rim Bike Tour allows Grand Canyon guests to enjoy a 5-mile bike ride through the South Rim of the Canyon for spectacular views most people won’t ever get to see! But before you begin your cycling adventure, you’ll enjoy a luxurious deluxe motorcoach equipped with restrooms, air-conditioning, large custom windows, reclining seats, arm & foot rest, DVD players, flat screen TV’s & overhead storage. Along the way you will enjoy a stop at the Hoover Dam as well as magnificent photo opportunities of Lake Mead and the Colorado River. There will also be a stop in Kingman, Arizona and Williams, Arizona, home to the historical Grand Canyon Railway on Route 66 where you will enjoy a sit-down lunch before finally beginning the bike ride. This adventurous journey begins as soon as you reach Grand Canyon National Park where a guide will lead you to Mather Point to begin preparations for the tour. If you suddenly get jitters about riding a bike through the park, don’t worry, experienced guides will lead you through the whole five mile journey and the ride itself is 90% downhill. Now that your worries are at ease you can enjoy the historic ride down Hermit Road. The road is over 100 years old and was recently rehabilitated to preserve its historic integrity and maximize safety and accessibility. During this fascinating trip you will visit three historical Grand Canyon sites and explore the beauty the canyon has to offer! The tour begins at Hopi Point where you can experience some of the best views of the canyon’s inner gorge and a sacred place to ancient people of the Grand Canyon and Northern Arizona. Then it’s off to the Abyss for a brilliant demonstration of the Grand Canyon’s geology. From the Abyss you will journey to Pima Point for a quick break where you’ll learn about the flora and fauna present in the canyon. The last section of the ride takes you along the greenway, a new trail specifically for bicyclists and pedestrians. After the ride you’ll have even more time to go off on foot and explore your surroundings by yourself. Make sure you bring a camera, even on the bike ride, as there are plenty of photo opportunities you won’t want to miss! Then it’s back to Sin City for an evening filled with your favorite restaurant, Las Vegas show and nightclub! You’ll enjoy a deluxe bus ride back to the Strip for more lovely views of Nevada along the way! Not a bad way to spend a day out west!
