It’s another concert-filled weekend here in Las Vegas but this time music of the 80’s seems to rule the Strip as Meat Loaf, Cyndi Lauper, Chris Isaak, Billy Idol and ZZ Top take over the stage. And who doesn’t love a good 80’s concert? We certainly do. Here’s the lineup for this weekend. On Friday “I Would Do Anything For Love” singer, Meat Loaf will be sharing the stage with his daughter Pearl at The Joint in theHard Rock Hotel. Texas trio ZZ Top will be at the Las Vegas Hilton through tomorrow while weird “Al” Yankovic brings his parodies to Henderson Pavilion. If you need to take a break from the 80’s lineup head over to Pure in Caesars Palace for rapper Rakim. Jonathon Goldsmith, aka the Most Interesting Man in the World, hosts at Jet in The Mirage, and Coolio will be at the nearby Revolution Lounge in The Mirage. And if you’d rather dance than laugh, David Spade is at The Venetian. For a little daytime fun head over to the Wet Republic at MGM Grand for a performance by De La Soul. Then head to The M Resort to see “Wicked Games” singer Chris Isaak in an outdoor concert sans supermodel Helena Christensen. And for the ultimate 80’s rocker The Pearl at the Palms will be featuring Billy Idol for one night only! And speaking of popular 80’s singers, Cyndi Lauper brings her Memphis Blues to the House of Blues on Saturday. For more rappers delight head to the Venus Pool Club during daylight at Caesars Palace to see rappers Chingy and Mims. And if the daytime party isn’t enough for you, you can catch the duo at Pure when the sun goes down. Lloyd will make beds rock at Haze in MGM CityCenter’s Aria, while Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s 24th annual fundraiser Black and White party, with the Rio headliners and longtime supporters Penn & Teller, is at The Joint. On Sunday “Come Away With Me” singer-songwriter Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae will be at The Pearl. Hot Hot Heat plays at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Hotel with Hey Rosetta and 22-20’s. That’s pretty much all of the concerts for this weekend but we’re sure they’ll be more to do than go to concerts. There’s bound to be an after party or two! Stay tuned next week for coverage on the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant with hosts Natalie Morales and Brett Michaels. Also, next week Vanilla Ice will be at Pure on Tuesday while reality TV star Brody Jenner celebrates his birthday at Lavo in the Palazzo on Friday and Tao in The Venetian on Saturday.
