Bob Dylan & John Mellencamp Come to Vegas

It’s a show years in the making, Bob Dylan with John Mellencamp have finally come together celebrate their musical works for a one night only show at Caesars Palace on Saturday September 18!

For a final summer conocert Bob Dylan will take the stage with John Mellencamp in a historical night of music you simply won’t want to miss. Can you imagine it? Bob Dylan, one of the most influential musicians of our time, performing his plethora of instruments along with Grammy-Award winning artist John Mellencamp. It’s hard to picture the two together but when you do you can only imagine one of the greatest musical events of all time.

For those of who you don’t have a clue who Bob Dylan is (shame on you) or who simply want to know more about his music and life here is a quick rundown of his mark on the music industry:

Known for such famous 1960’s songs as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin”, Bob Dylan has been a major figure in popular music for more almost five decades. Early in his career Dylan incorporated political, social and philosophical influences into his music. Due to this fact, both “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Times They Are a Changin” became anthems of both the civil rights movements and of the opposition to the Vietnam War. Due to their political messaging as well as defying existing pop music conventions, Dylan’s songs quickly became popular with the budding counterculture.

Almost a decade and a half after Dylan was influencing followers with his political music John Mellencamp began his journey into musical heroism with his first album Chestnut Street Incident.  For the next 30 years Mellencamp toured the world performing live to his adoring fans as well as writing his own songs. Along the way he was won one Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Performer for “Hurts So Good” in 1982 and has been nominated for 12 others.  Mellencamp has also been awarded the Billboard Century Award in 2001, the prestigious Classic Songwriter Award and was nominated for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009. The man just doesn’t stop and now he’s taking on a whole new adventure with Bob Dylan.

For musical fusion rarely seen in the industry Bob Dylan with john Mellencamp is the concert for you! If you’re as excited about this as I am you better get on the horn (or internet) and buy your tickets today. With two of the greatest musicians on one stage at one time, you can be sure these tickets won’t last long. So hurry, because Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp won’t wait for you!
