Hard Rock Hotel will be concert central today as music moguls and electrifying artists take the stage for a night of musical history. To accompany his launch listening party for his new guitar classics album record with royal Clive Davis, Carlos Santana has lined up a list of stars from the new CD, due September 21, to perform onstage in The Joint with him tonight: India.Arie, Chris Daughtry and Gavin Rossdale. The celebration at the Hard Rock will start with Arista Records Clive Davis joining Carlos for the first listening debut of Guitar Heaven: the Greatest Guitar Classics of All at Vanity. This is quite the opportunity for Santana and Davis fans. Both men have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are expected to perform songs from the CD and talk about what led to each selection and recording session. After Clive and Carlos’ listening party at Vanity, Carlos will hit the stage at The Joint for a concert filled with some of the most influential musicians of our time. For one night only it’s three amazing duets: India.Arie joins Carlos for “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” Chris performs “Photograph” with Carlos and Gavin delivers “Bang a Gong” with him. And you never know who might show up at this special one night only concert. Carlos’ new album is filled with the who’s who of performer artists including Chris Cornell on Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” Pat Monahan on Van Halen’s “Dance the Night Away,” Chester Bennington and Ray Manzarek on The Doors’ “Riders on the Storm,” and Joe Cocker on Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing.” Yo-Yo-Ma also plays on that Beatle classic “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” So don’t be surprised if any of these famous musicians pop up during Carlos’ show. Carlos will be at the Hard Rock Hotel starting tonight through Labor Day weekend, but tonight is the only night you will find the Hard Rock filled with so many different musicians. Carlos’ performance tonight should also clue us in on his new dates for his 2011 schedule of Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the hits. And not that you’ll need advice on what to do after the concert, since the Hard Rock has plenty of clubs and restaurants to attend, but just in case you’d like to explore your options you can always get the best of Las Vegas clubs with the Tao Las Vegas pass and spend the weekend hopping from Lavo, Tao and Tao Beach. And if you plan on making a trip to Vegas for the Labor Day festivities make sure you get the Tao 3 in 1 pass for Labor Day Weekend. You’ll zip through what are sure to be long lines at both Tao and Lavo and spend the evening partying with the celebrities.
