With every season, comes new fashion! And, this fall is no exception! If you felt left out last fall from the skinny jean craze, well this season was made for you! There are great new styles out there for this season that are perfect for ALL body types! The fall preview at NYC Fashion Week back in February gave us great insight in to what’s hot this fall season in the world of fashion. This fall is all about a season of change, mute colors are out and bright jewel-tones are in! Fall, this season, is all about a burst of color, colored and printed tights, rich florals, new styles of jeans, cinched waists, and MORE! So, what does this mean for the Strip? Las Vegas will be one of the IT places to show off these new styles!
Tights were a huge style accessory last fall and the trend continues into this new fall season, but with a bit of a twist. Tights in jewel tones (purples, ruby reds, greens, and blues) are very in! Also in are tights that are patterned with fun designs and textures. Tights are great for the fall because they allow you to extend the wear of your spring and summer dresses, without getting cold from the cooler temperatures. The textured and colorful tights of this season can completely change the outfit that you are wearing. Plus, tights are great for work. They add coverage to shorter dresses that usually wouldn’t be work appropriate. For going out in Vegas, pair tinted tights with a mini dress and a great set of high heels, and you are ready for a night out on the town! Since Vegas doesn’t get too cold in the fall, tights are a great option for fall style that won’t have you feeling weighed down and hot by bulky jackets or pants.
The opaque black and gray tights of last year can still be used this season, but pair them with the new trend of fall; rich and elegant jewel-tone colors. Usually in the fall, you tend to see lots of muted colors, but this year is all about cool colors with great undertones! Try wardrobe pieces of cool blues, rich emerald greens, and elegant looking purples. Spice these cool colors up with accents of warm reds, yellows, and oranges; which are also very in this fall. Don’t feel like you need to get rid of your warm autumn hues, though, because chocolate brown, charcoal, and black are still VERY in. So, if you want to stand out in the Las Vegas club scene, maybe opt for a purple or green dress, rather than the always standard black. Or, if you choose to wear black, wear accents of fall with rich purple, green, and blue accent jewelry, shoes, and accessories.
Floral prints are usually a thing of Spring, but Michael Kors and Giorgio Armani proved this to be wrong at the fall preview at February’s Fashion Week in New York City. Floral prints are in full swing this fall. Opt for darker floral prints of purples, browns, blues, and greens. Pair a great floral print piece with a cropped jacket and a great pair of heels, and you are ready for fall. This is great news for budget savers, because now you can extend the wear of your spring and summer dresses. Floral dresses and tops are sure to be a hit in Las Vegas! Pair a cute floral top with one of the hottest pair of jeans, peep toes pumps, and accent jewelry and you are ready to hit the hottest clubs of Las Vegas, or even ready for a night at a Las Vegas show.
Jeans are jeans, and they will ALWAYS be in style. It is just a matter of the fit, style, and look of the season. Last fall was all about the skinny leg jeans. Those ARE still in, but look for them in bright colors and jewel-tone hues of the season. But, lets be honest…the skinny leg jean is NOT for everyone. THE pant of the fall, however, is the wide leg trouser style jeans. They make your legs look long and lean. Make sure to pair them with a heel and a fitted top, to look all over lean. Also, try this style in a darker wash. Dark wash jeans are very in this season and are universally flattering on everyone. Dark wash denim is highly recommended for the nightclub scene. Lighter jeans are more casual looking and could be “iffy” as to whether you will be allowed in or not. Your best bet when wearing jeans to a nightclub in Las Vegas, make sure your denim is darker, not baggy, and paired with a cute fitted or club-wear top. Save the lighter colored jeans for walking along the Strip during the day. Pair your lighter denim with a great pair of flats and a cute tank top for a great daytime Las Vegas look.
Other styles to look for are cinched waists, the ever-fall-popular plaid, classic high heel pumps, and ballet flats. Cinched waists are great for accentuating your waist line. Take a skinny belt and add it to a flattering top or dress, and you will instantly look leaner. Last season was all about bigger and thicker belts, but this season opt for skinnier belts in either a solid color or a fun pattern. Plaid anything is always a great fall statement. Plaids are great for trench coats, pea coats, dresses, and more. In Vegas, coats are not always necessary, so look for dresses in a classic plaid or plaid accents to go with your solid colored clothing. All of this year was about the ballet flat for footwear. They are comfortable and appropriate for work, going out, and more. Flats are still VERY in, but the classic pumps of the past are making a come back. In Vegas, you will be walking a lot. So, make sure to wear your flats during the day with a great pair of jeans or a cute dress. But, do save your pumps for going out at night. Pumps go great with jeans, dresses, and skirts…so they are perfect for hitting the nightlife scene.
Men’s fashion, unfortunately, never gets the great changes from season to season, quite as much as the women, but don’t feel left out gentlemen. This means fewer trips to the mall for you! Jeans are always in for men as well as button-up shirts. Try a zipper-up collared shirt for a new and updated look. Blazers, sports jackets, striped shirts, and cardigans are all great trends in men’s fashion this fall. All of these looks are great for the nightlife scene in Vegas. Always wear closed toed shoes to the nightclubs! Pair a great pair of closed toed shoes with jeans and a nice button up shirt for a ready to go out look.
In a town that is ALL about glitz and glamour it is always important to keep up with the fashion trends! Going from your daytime walks along the Strip to getting into the hottest nightclubs and shows, these fall fashions are workable for all occasions!
