If you are contemplating a last minute trip for this upcoming Fourth of July, it is never too late to head to Vegas! Packed with fun activities, events, celebrity appearances, and more, Las Vegas is adding the RED HOT to Red, White, and Blue!
Fireworks will be lighting up the summer sky of cities all across the country, but none will be quite like those of Las Vegas! On July 4th, the sky of Las Vegas will be ablaze thanks to the “Station Casinos 4th of July Firework Spectacular.” Nine firework displays will go off simultaneously from ten Station Casino properties throughout the Las Vegas Valley, including Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station & Fiesta Rancho (which will be sharing a display), Fiesta Henderson, Aliante Station, Santa Fe Station, and Sunset Station. The surrounding area of the valley will light up with the firework displays of nearby Henderson, Laughlin, and Summerlin, as well.
The Las Vegas Strip will be in the spotlight, as well, with not only the surrounding fireworks but the bevy of events and concerts going on. Head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (on July 2) for the “Annual Night of Fire” at the Bullring. The event will feature a night of family fun, with fireworks and NASCAR racing! If lounging by the pool is more your style, head over to Ditch Friday’s “Red, White, and You!,” July 3 at the Palms Hotel and Casino pool. This adult pool party playground will feature DJ’s (on Las Vegas’ first and only solar powered DJ booth), the glimmering three pools of the Palms pool, over 27 cabanas for rent, and an extensive food menu! But, if you are looking for the simple age-old pastime of American beer-drinking fun, head over to the “Beer Bash on the Bridge” at the Brooklyn Bridge of the New York New York Hotel and Casino. Providing unlimited beer and performances by Boogie Nights, The Spazmatics, and Phoenix, throughout Fourth of July Weekend, guests can celebrate in true patriotic fashion at a replica of one of America’s most iconic cities, the Big Apple.
Concerts and shows will be going on throughout the Las Vegas area throughout the weekend, as well. With performances by the likes of Creedence Clearwater Revisited (July 3 – Las Vegas Hilton), Jeff Dunham (July 3-4 – Caesars Palace), Jamie Foxx (July 3-4 – Hard Rock Las Vegas), “Uncle Sam’s Comedy Jam” featuring Mike Epps, Arnez J, Earthquake, and Leslie Jones (July 4 – The Orleans Las Vegas), and Jay-Z featuring Ciara (July 4 – Palms Las Vegas).
But, probably the most extraordinary event of the entire weekend will be the “Death Drop.” On the night of the Fourth of July at 8 pm, Las Vegas visitors will be looking to the sky not for fireworks, but the epic stunt attempt by Las Vegas magician Steve Wyrick at the Miracle Mile Shops. From high above the Las Vegas Strip, Wyrick will be shackled and locked 80 feet above 500 flaming spikes. The ropes holding Wyrick will be set on fire, as he attempts to escape before plummeting to a fiery death. This stunt has never been attempted by an illusionist anywhere else in the world. You will not want to miss it!
So, if you are looking for some old-fashioned Fourth of July fun, what better place to head to than Las Vegas! After all, what could be more patriotic than burgers, beer, pool parties, concerts, death-defying stunts, and fireworks?! With the best of Las Vegas hotels, Las Vegas shows, concerts, and more all at your fingertips, there is no better way to spend your Fourth!
