That’s right. The rumors are true. Ex-Las Vegas cocktail waitress and Fear Factor contestant Sarah Larson lost her meal ticket this week after George Clooney reportedly called off their year-long relationship. Confused? So are we. Just a few weeks ago engagement rumors were surfacing on the web. Nonetheless, Larson was spotted removing clothing and personal items from Clooney’s Los Angeles mansion this weekend according to In Touch Weekly. Rumors are now surfacing about the abrupt nature of the breakup concluding many to believe that there is more here than meets the eye.
However, Larson put on a strong face Saturday as she attended the grand opening of the Palms Place Hotel and Spa along with fellow celebrities Ashlee Simpson and Linda Hogan. It was even reported by Dallas News that Larson showed up at the event with a former boyfriend by her side for support.
Friends of the couple are saying that Clooney has admitted that the two have little in common and that staying together would only prolong the inevitable. Clooney met Larson while she was working as a cocktail waitress at the Palms Hotel. The two hit it off and Clooney and Larson maintained a long distance relationship for several months until Clooney asked Larson to quit her job and come live with him in L.A. The relationship received media attention after the two were injured in a motorcycle accident. The couple was photographed by swarms of paparazzi with cuts and bruises as they attended movie premieres and other Hollywood events. Larson even accompanied Clooney to the Oscars this year. This was the first time Clooney brought a girlfriend with him to the event. There were reports of Clooney trying to boost Larson’s acting career but so far she hasn’t received any credits.
What will Larson do now that the couple has split? Who knows? It would seem beneath her now to return to her old job at the Palms as she is still attending red carpet events. Does being George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend make you a celebrity overnight? Maybe. Maybe the media will even feel bad for Larson and some nice TV executive will scoop her up to star in the next reality dating show? After all, this is Hollywood and with her sweet “girl next door” image she might be able to salvage a career out of all this.
