It has been a great year for Lady Gaga. The New Yorker has been around the world and won numerous awards thanks to her catchy pop hits and crazy fashion sense. If BestOfVegas.com had to pick one stand out star for this year it would have to be Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers, NY. It seems like Gaga came out of nowhere at first. Fans of the Perez Hilton website might remember the early days before Gaga exploded onto the scene. Perez has a knack for finding underground artists and giving them huge exposure, but Lady Gaga has been his biggest success so far. Now that he calls her his “wife,” we think Gaga owes Perez a lot for blasting her name and songs out on his page. But before Perez Hilton sang her praises, Lady Gaga worked at Interscope Records writing songs for acts like Akon. She can thank him for her start as well, since he supposedly heard her sing one day and suggested she audition for his label. No matter whom you credit for her success, Lady Gaga has worked hard to get to where she is today. Soon Las Vegan Gaga-heads will be able to see their diva live and in person at The Palms Hotel and Casino’s Pearl Theater. You’ve probably read about the Pearl Theater plenty of times here on BestOfVegas.com. After all, some of the biggest acts that swing by Sin City usually perform a show at this 2,600 seat venue. The Pearl often features boxing matches and it has some great concerts coming up (aside from Lady Gaga.) 90’s band The Cranberries are reuniting for the first time in 7 years to perform there. Mega rock gods KISS are also celebrating their 35th anniversary, touring the world and stopping by Las Vegas to rock and roll all night. As for Lady Gaga, the Pearl Theater is her second shot at a show in Sin City. She was originally supposed to tour with Kanye West on the “Fame Kills” tour at the Mandalay Bay, but we all know how that went. Unfortunately the mega tour was cancelled but Lady Gaga would not abandon her fans in Sin City. On December 18th you can expect the blonde pop star/fashionista to perform her biggest hits at this great venue. With the intimate 2,600 seat setting you will feel like the show is just for you. The Grammy nominated, MTV VMA Award-winning Gaga will surely perform hits like “Poker Face,” “Love Game,” “Just Dance,” and “Paparazzi” to her obsessed fans. We’re sure it’s only a matter of time before legions of fans come dressed up as Lady Gaga to her concerts much like Madonna fans dressed up back in the day. How many Lady Gaga’s did you see this Halloween?
