The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino of Las Vegas has just set a new standard for the poker world. No longer will poker rooms be a general casino experience, but a swanky, club-like, lounge atmosphere where you can comfortably play poker and really feel like an ultimate VIP…well…at least that is how it will be at the Hard Rock Hotel. Setting the new trend of “poker lounges,” Hard Rock has just unveiled a $30 million, 7,000 square-foot, 18 table, and high-limit poker lounge. As THE first “poker lounge” in all of Las Vegas, the Hard Rock has not disappointed with the concept.
Introducing “classy poker” to Las Vegas, the new poker Lounge will involve the latest-and-greatest in technology, service, and more. The entire area is decorated with hues of dark blue, intimate lighting, and dark wood accents giving the space a cozy lounge feel. However, the lounge-feel is executed without taking away from the true purpose of the room, getting down to a good-ole game of poker! There is also a special area of high-limit slots and video poker machines, where you can play while you wait to be seated. But, if you don’t feel like sitting around waiting for a machine, you can feel free to walk around the Hard Rock Hotel property as you wait. Using the newest technology, guests can be notified via text message by the Genesis Reservation System if a slot opens up for them to play.
The poker lounge will make you feel like a true VIP with all the added amenities and services available within the area. There is an on-site sportsbook runner, who can take your wagers while you are playing poker (talk about multi-task gambling). There is even an all-female VIP host staff offering massages (courtesy of the Rock Spa at Hard Rock) while you play, a full-menu of food options (available 24 hours a day), and, also, private rooms with high-roller perks of big screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and bottle service. Not to mention, the poker lounge offers special comps just for those playing in the lounge area of the casino. The special comps can be anything from concert tickets and backstage passes to some of the hottest concerts playing at The Joint to poolside cabanas at the Hard Rock pool for Hard Rock’s signature Sunday Rehab pool parties! There are also tons of activities always going on in the lounge to make sure people keep on coming back for more! There are up to three daily $100 buy-in Texas Hold’em tournaments and other sit-and-go tournaments throughout the day. So, if you are looking for the newest and best in poker entertainment, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is the place to be!
This is one of the first projects of the $750 million renovation-plan of the hotel to be revealed. In addition to this new poker room, the Las Vegas Hard Rock is expanding to make room for two additional towers, new restaurants, new shopping areas, and more. The Morgan Hotel Group plans to complete the entire renovation as soon as the middle of next year.
