Karina Smirnoff Celebrates With a Sweet Birthday
It was a sweet surprise birthday party for “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer Karina Smirnoff. The birthday girl was surprised by her “Dancing With the Stars” co-star Mark Ballas at Sugar Factory’s American Brasserie inside the Paris on Saturday night. Ballas was in town for the 2012 Miss America Pageant at Planet Hollywood earlier in the night.

Not one to make a big deal over her birthday, Smirnoff was surprised by her close friends with an elaborate birthday celebration that began with dinner at the popular Las Vegas restaurant. And while she didn’t want to make her birthday a big deal, the pro dancer did wish for one special gift.

“All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on “Dancing With The Stars,” said Smirnoff. She then went on to say that as a New York native, she is a Jets fan, first. But, like many Americans, she was rooting for the Denver Broncos on Saturday. “Tim Tebow played so hard,” said Smirnoff, “and I know that so many fans all across the country are so proud of him!”

Smirnoff, who wore a multi-colored form-fitting Sheri Hill sequined dress and Christian Louboutin shoes and her group started dinner with a few shared items including fried macaroni & cheese pops and creamy artichoke and spinach dip, and she enjoyed pan-roasted Pacific salmon with grilled asparagus for her entrée. For dessert, Smirnoff’s friends ordered an oversized cupcake assortment that included red velvet and Oreo cookie, as well as a chocolate fondue sampler with baked Rice Crispy treats and chocolate chip cookies.

After a sweet dinner, the lovely ladies opted for a little sour treat over at Sugar Factory’s retail shop. The group snacked on an assortment of sour candies and jelly beans. Smirnoff was in a sweet mood as she stopped to hug and sign autographs with fans.

Following dinner and dessert, the birthday party made its way to Gallery Nightclub, where the ladies enjoyed cocktails and danced the night away. While at the Las Vegas nightclub, Smirnoff greeted and waved to her fans as she danced atop one of Gallery’s oversized booths. In one last surprise, Smirnoff was presented with a birthday mirror ball birthday cake from the Pussycat Dolls.

In other Las Vegas news, blonde beauty and Heiress to the Hilton fortune, Paris Hilton was back on the Strip this weekend for another round of Sin City fun. The reality TV star was with new boyfriend DJ Afrojack at Surrender Nightclub in Steve Wynn’s Encore. UFC champion Alistair Overseem and Jaleel White were also there. And speaking of UFC champs, Frank Mir enjoyed Celine Dion’s show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace
