Katy Perry, Kid Rock, Brad Paisley Hit the Strip
It’s an all-star celebrity party parade in Las Vegas this weekend with newly single Katy Perry leading the Strip festivities. The pop singer will be hosting actress Patricia Arquette’s Give Love charity event at the new Las Vegas nightclub 1OAK in the Mirage as part of its weekend-long grand-opening celebrations.

Also partying on the Strip tonight is Lil John who hosts at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore while rapper Bow Wow performs at Rain in the Palms.

For a little music to kick off your weekend don’t miss Kid Rock with DJ Baby Chino at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay for two nights. Social Distortion rocks the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel; Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noose are at South Point; The Toasters will be at Hard Rock Cage on the Strip and Nashville Unplugged featuring Reggie Hamm and Brian White are at Green Valley Ranch for two nights.

On Saturday, the music continues with Brad Paisley, The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery performing at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Chinese Mando-pop star Wakin Chau celebrates Chinese New Year for two nights at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Saturday night’s parties begin with Kid Rock’s after-party at Tao in the Venetian. Jermaine Dupri is guest host at Tryst in the Wynn. As I said yesterday, singer Nick Carter celebrates his birthday at Vanity. Peter Facinelli is at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris. J. Cole and Evan Peters of “American Horror Story” will celebrate their birthdays on the Strip; Cole at Lavo in the Palazzo and Peters at RPM Nightclub at the Tropicana.

Also on Saturday, “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria will be honored as Woman of the Year at Nevada Ballet Theater’s 2012 Black & White Ball at Aria. San Francisco 49eres greats Joe Montana, Dwight Clark and Roger Craig hold a two-day autograph signing at Blondie’s Sports Bar and Grill in Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

The weekend ends with Shanna Moakler crowning Miss Nevada USA at the Pearl in the Palms. Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil, Peepshow at Planet Hollywood star Josh Strickland, “General Hospital” and “Dirty Soap” star Kelly Monaco, “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancers Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy are just a few of the many celebrity judges for the pageant.

Tom Thayer of KISS will be judging the Ultimate “Kiss Off” at the Hard Rock Hotel as the top KISS tribute bands battle it out to play at the grand opening of Kiss by Monster Mini Golf in March.

And Manufactured Superstars will host Vanity’s second anniversary party at XS in Encore.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back Monday for this weekend’s complete celebrity recap.
