Will she kiss a girl? I mean you never know; this is Las Vegas! Either way, she will grace one of the first crowds that ROK has ever seen with her hotter than hot pop songs. When ROK officially opens its doors this Labor Day Weekend, guests will enjoy a performance by Katy Perry Saturday, August 30. ROK Las Vegas is revolutionizing the nightclub concept at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino this weekend as the doors open for the first time this Labor Day Weekend.
Club-goers at the new ROK Las Vegas will experience a taste of South Beach, Miami. Club designer Francois Frossard has also designed famous clubs such as Mansion and Set and now he is bringing some Miami flavor to Las Vegas with his newest designs at ROK. Specializing in VIP service, ROK Vegas has custom-designed VIP tables that not only transform into dance platforms, they also hold your belongings, as well as your alcohol and drinks so you don’t have to worry about them while you are away from your table or out on the dance floor. Another unique part of the bottle service at ROK is that customers are able to order half-bottles of liquor. This means that a large group of people can order several different bottles and all enjoy something that they like instead of having to decide on one type of alcohol. The club will also feature a 360 degree video screen that encompasses almost the entire club. The video screen will be run by some of the hottest VJ’s in the business with music videos, live feeds, animations, and other images that will create a party for more than just a few of your senses. ROK will officially open Friday August 29th, but the big event will begin on Saturday night when Katy Perry steps up to the plate.
Katy Perry is now famous the world over for her #1 hit single, “I Kissed a Girl.” The pop singer grew up in Santa Barbara, California. Her parents were pastors and she grew up singing in church. Her hit single has been considered controversial because of the way it hints to homosexuality and promiscuity which goes against Perry’s Christian upbringing. The reason for this controversy is mainly because of the way that Perry appeals to a younger teen audience. However, the song continues to top charts world-wide and her fans absolutely adore her. With one of her newest songs off of her album, One of the Boys, being called "Waking Up in Vegas," it can only be fitting for her to kick-start this nightclub! ROK Vegas kicks of its launch with the newest princess of rock, Katy Perry. This event is sure to be filled with celebrities enjoying both the music and the new night club. ROK Las Vegas will be hip, young, and technologically advanced with a focus on an old-school rock theme that provides just the right amount of nostalgia that club-goers have recently been seeking.
