Oops, the creators of TAO have done it again! The creators of TAO have teamed up to create, what is soon to be one of the newest and hottest clubs in all of Las Vegas. Having had its million dollar grand opening on September 13th at its new home, the Palazzo Las Vegas, LAVO is ready for action!
LAVO will be a unique nightlife experience for all who attend. It is a restaurant, lounge, and nightclub, all in one. This seems to be the growing trend throughout Las Vegas nightclubs, but LAVO has taken this trend to the next level. The word LAVO is Latin for “to bathe or cleanse” (perhaps to cleanse you of all of the sins in Sin City??). The entire interior is inspired by the ancient bathhouses of early Mediterranean culture. This Mediterranean bathhouse theme is carried throughout the entire space with worn tile walls, old wood, and water-stained plaster. There are also elegant accents of regality in the low chandeliers, leather seating, and metallic looking pieces, to give the room a more modern feel. The Moroccan themed tables give the entire space a very authentic Mediterranean feel. The definite highlight of the entire space, however, is the glass and wood screened bridge that is bordered by grand carved stone. Party-goers can climb across the bridge to the second level or just perch on the bridge and people watch onto the dance floor below. The elevated VIP area will be one of the swankiest places to be at in Las Vegas, with the classy banquettes, leather upholstered walls, and mirrored mosaic tile accents.
The restaurant at LAVO focuses on the Mediterranean region’s cuisine. Chef Ludo Lefebvre executes the elegance of Mediterranean food perfectly, taking dishes that you would find directly in Spain, France, and Italy. The menu is intended for sampling and sharing among friends and family. The restaurant seats 300 people at a time, with 180 seats in the main dining room, 20 seats in the private dining room, and 100 seats available on the outdoor patio overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant is open seven days a week, Sunday – Thursday (5 pm – 12 am) and Friday & Saturday (5 pm – 1 am), plus late night dining until 2 am.
The nightclub at LAVO is 4,500 square-feet of pure luxury. With 40 tables offering bottle service and a state of the art audio visual system, LAVO will be one of the most elite clubs in all of Las Vegas. The glass bridge that leads up to the second floor ascends over the dance floor, where guests can continue on to the second level of the club or people watch from above. Tiled arches frame the dance floor, keeping with the Mediterranean feel. The nightclub is open six days a week, Tuesday – Sunday (10 pm – 5 am) and Saturday (9:30 pm – 5 am). The lounge connected to the nightclub is a perfect conversation spot for business meetings or just socializing before a night out. At the lounge you can indulge in the best of the Mediterranean Bistro and have great views of the Strip. Whether your final destination at LAVO or elsewhere on the Strip, the lounge is a perfect spot to start your night.
With a stacked grand opening on September 13th, there is no reason to go anywhere else but LAVO! LAVO’s grand opening brought out all of the big stars including: Miss Nevada Veronica Grabowski, Taye Diggs, Blue Man Group, Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard, Nicky Hilton (who was last seen in Vegas at our BestOfVegas.com Launch Party), Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Paris Hilton, Jack Osborne, Shannon Doherty, guitarist Slash, Mario Lopez, Busta Ryhmes, and MORE! LAVO WAS PACKED! I think this red carpet event was just the beginning of what we will see from the stars that attend LAVO. After all, a nightclub and restaurant made by the creators of TAO…it is sure to be a hit success!
