Labor Day Vaca

The truth is no matter how much you love your job; everyone needs a day off every now and then. So, why not take advantage this Labor Day and plan a trip to Las Vegas. While it may seem like a short trip, a 3-day weekend in Las Vegas is plenty of time to enjoy all the sights and sounds that the city has to offer. Also, Labor Day is a great time of year to visit. All the pools are open and there will be dozens of Labor Day pool parties, barbeques, and events taking place all over the Strip.

Labor Day is a national holiday observed on the first Monday in September. In 1894, Labor Day became a federal holiday put in place to celebrate the achievements of the American working man and today most businesses are closed allowing workers a day of rest. The day is also considered the official end of summer and often marks the beginning of a new school year. However, just because Labor Day is a day of rest, doesn’t mean you have to do something boring. Whether you’re looking for a wild party or a stress-free weekend, we’ve got you covered. No end of summer celebration in Las Vegas would be complete without attending a pool party and this year the newest spot for fun in the sun is at Wet Republic. The new ultra-pool at MGM Grand is the ultimate in pool fun. With two saltwater pools, smoking hot cocktail waitresses in bikinis, and DJs spinning the latest hits daily, work will be the farthest thing from your mind.

If you aren’t able to find a backyard barbeque but are still having burger cravings, check out Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. This world famous burger joint is different from anything you’ve experienced before. Burger Bar offers freshly grilled burger combinations that are both ordinary and completely out of the ordinary. Try a salmon burger, veggie burger, or turkey burger, and then top it with imported cheeses, fruits, and anything else you could dream up. Burger Bar has a fun atmosphere and it a great place to enjoy a Labor Day lunch.

As the sun goes down, check out the new Christian Audigier Nightclub at Treasure Island. Dance to some of the latest house music and then spend some time shopping in the Christian Audigier boutique. You will feel like a rock star the second you step inside and see the tattoo themed décor and rock theme. So if you are looking to end this summer with a bang before school starts or if you just need a break from the monotony of the work week, Las Vegas has all the fun and relaxation that you need to help your stress melt away.
