It seems that lately celebrities are spending less of their play time in Tinsel Town and more of it in Sin City. What’s the reason behind this growing trend? Maybe celebrities are trying to throw off the paparazzi, maybe they are just trying to get away from the stress caused by everyday life in L.A, or maybe we just know how to party here! Whatever the reason, celebs seem to be making the shift and L.A. clubs are feeling the pressure. With Vegas only a short 4 hour drive from Los Angeles, celebrities are making the trip to enjoy some nightlife action on the Strip instead of staying home in the paparazzi hungry L.A.
Lately it seems that every time a celebrity couple breaks up, gets married, gets arrested, or anything else that might cause a media frenzy- they end up in Las Vegas the very next day. Just this week, reality TV star and The Bachelor winner Shayne Lamas was seen celebrating her bachelorette party in Las Vegas. Lamas and her friends were spotted at LAX drinking Grey Goose vodka and Red Bull as they danced the night away to the music provided by DJ Hollywood. There have even been rumors that the couple will be getting married in Vegas some time soon.
However, it isn’t just marriages that draw people to Vegas. Break-ups seem to make celebrities want to spend some time in Sin City as well. Directly after actor Mario Lopez and dancer Karina Smirnoff called it quits, Smirnoff headed straight for Vegas. It seemed reports of Lopez cheating on her where too much to handle and she has decided to take refuge in the Las Vegas nightlife scene. She recently hosted an event at Tao where the Ukrainian dancer was greeted with open arms as she helped set the pace for the evening with her sensual moves on the dance floor. However, it seems she isn’t ready to come home. She has been vacationing in both Vegas and the Bahamas for the past few weeks, possibly waiting for the rumors to die down.
Britney Spears has also vacationed in Vegas recently. However, Spears came with her dad to celebrate Father’s Day in Sin City. Although, Spears wasn’t spotted out and about in the clubs, she has contributed to a growing trend of celebs coming to Vegas as a family vacation. Britney and Jamie Spears dined at some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas and were given a luxury Sky Villa as personal guests of casino owner George Maloof. There were even rumors that Maloof was trying to talk Spears into recording her new albums at the Palms Casino Resort. It seems Britney has been doing better these days as no one had spotted her with so much as a glass of wine. The only thing she drank over the weekend was water.
It seems when things get rough in Hollywood, celebrities just pick up their things and spend a lavish weekend shopping, dining, and dancing in Las Vegas. So as long as the paparazzi stay away, celebrities will consider Las Vegas a safe haven from the lime light. Looks like these celebrities have never run into the Rnting Redhead!
