Pamela Anderson is fast becoming a common face on the Las Vegas scene. She now stars in a nightly magic show with Hans Klok at Planet Hollywood hotel and casino. She has also married (and divorced) longtime friend Rick Salomon. Anderson has admitted that she has always dreamed of becoming a Las Vegas showgirl, instead she has become a magician’s assistant and she is falling in love with the city. She can often be seen out on the town either at Body English at the Hard Rock or eating at Tao in the Venetian. She is quickly becoming a favorite local celebrity.

The former Baywatch star was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia. Pamela gained early fame as she was the first baby born on Canada’s Centennial Day and she was known as the Centennial Baby. Anderson’s career as a model was pretty much chosen for her. She attended a BC Lions football game wearing a Labbatt beer shirt. The audience cheered so much that she was brought onto the field. The brewing company later asked her if she would like a permanent job modeling for their company. She accepted and her career took off. She posed for Playboy magazine as February’s playmate in 1990.  She then moved to Los Angeles, bleached her hair blonde, and had a breast augmentation.

She started out her television career on the family sitcom, Home Improvement, a year later she was asked to play the famous role of C.J. Parker on the world-wide hit series, Baywatch. She contributed largely to the success of the series and the show became such a huge hit that she was known an international superstar. Her success was huge and she became known as one of the most famous sex symbols in America. Known mostly for her large breasts, she tried removing them in a ploy to gain public respect. However, she only put them back (in a larger size) a few months later. She has had several attempts at her own TV programs. She starred in V.I.P. which lasted four seasons despite bad reviews. She also starred in her own sitcom, Stacked, a few years later but that show was also canceled shortly after it aired. However, Anderson is not struggling. She is still receiving checks from re-runs of Baywatch that still play both in America and overseas. She has admitted that it’s hard to break out of her role since she had so much success playing one character and she will probably be type-cast in the same sorts of roles for the rest of her career. She has posed nude several times since the end of her television career and she is a Playboy favorite.

In 1995, she met Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and the couple was married less than a week later. They had two children and divorced three years later after Anderson reported that Tommy Lee had abused her. He was sentenced to six months in jail. Anderson received much negative publicity for a (supposedly stolen) sex tape that the couple had made. The tape leaked to the internet and Anderson sued the company that distributed it for $1.5 million. Anderson married musician Kid Rock in 2006 and filed for divorce only a few months later. Pamela Anderson has two children and she considers herself to be a pretty good mom.

Pamela met recent ex-husband Rick Salomon and was married to him in a chapel at the Mirage hotel and casino in November 2007 and the couple has already filed for divorce. She was married in Las Vegas in between her two-a-night performances in the Hans Klok magic show, The Beauty of Magic. She announced to the crowd at the second show that she had just been married. Her new marriage was not taken seriously by the press and it was reported that she was married in jeans and that the cake was made of cardboard. She filed for divorce only a few months later, but has since announced that she is trying to “work things out”. She has also ended her contract with Hans Klok, but doesn’t plan to leave Vegas for good just yet. She has since received offers for longer runs in the Las Vegas show business—no word yet.
