Star Sightings: James Gandolfini, Jimmie Johnson, and More

It was a star-studded weekend here on the Strip as actors, UFC fighters and reality TV celebs mingled for a weekend of partying and relaxation.

Actor James Gandolfini attended Flamingo magician headliner Nathan Burton’s show while on the Strip researching his role as a billionaire casino owner in the upcoming comedy “Burt Wonderstone” about rival magicians. In the coming months you might also find Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, Steve Buscemi and Olivia Wilde researching their roles as they are all in the 2012 film. The “Sopranos” star also had Sunday brunch at “Iron Chef” winner Kerry Simon’s restaurant Simon in Palms Place.

NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, “Revenge” actor Ashton Holmes, Kevin James, Joe Rogan, UFC fighter Urijah Faber and UFC President Dana White all enjoyed dinner at N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms, separately of course. “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer champions Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough and Mark Ballas partied at Moon and then dined at Lavo in the Palazzo before heading over to Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore, where NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart celebrated his latest victory.

Reality TV star Jesse James had lunch at Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel. Director George Lucas dined at Society Café in Encore for breakfast. Actor Chris Tucker had lunch at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago at Caesars Palace and then dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Pizzeria and Cucina at Crystals in CityCenter.

MLB star Jason GIambi enjoyed dinner at the new Greens and Proteins where he enjoyed an ostrich burger and jicama fries. NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick and his wife DeLana watched Jabbawockeez’s “MUS.I.C.” at Monte Carlo and went backstage after the show and comedian Ron White watched Cirque du Soleil’s the Beatles “Love” at the Mirage before his Aces of Comedy standup shows.

Former “Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular” star Sierra Boggess and her fiancé, “Love Never Dies” co-star Tam Mutu, watched Criss Angel’s Believe at the Luxor. Jason Kennedy of “E! News” celebrated his birthday with dinner at Tao in the Venetian before dancing in the nightclub and stopping at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan. Dirty Soap” stars Nadia Bjorlin and boyfriend Brandon Beemer, “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul with girlfriend Lauren Parsekian and Chris Tucker were also spotted at Marquee. Chris returned for a second night and partied with actress Haylie Duff.

NASCAR star Jeff Gordon treated fans to shots at Lavo, and in return t hey presented him with a magnum champagne. Earlier, Dale Earnhardt Jr. dined at Lavo, as did David Charvet and Brooke Burke-Charvet, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes and “Bachelor” couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Mesnick.

X-Games gold medalist Travis Pastrana and wife Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins watched Cirque du Soleil’s “Zumanity” at New York-New York.
