There is absolutely no rhyme or rhythm to the celebrities who have graced Las Vegas with their presence this week, which is often times the case since Sin City has that special ability to meet everybody’s entertainment needs, no matter who you are. From actors to hard-core rockers and even the President of the United States, The Entertainment Capital of the World has welcomed in just about everybody this week and even announced a few upcoming stars you won’t want to miss. President Barack Obama is now being called the Pizza President due to the fact that he ordered 12 pizzas and cannolis from Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Bar for his staff and himself on Wednesday afternoon. The President, who arrived in Las Vegas late yesterday afternoon and has already left for Colorado, spoke at UPS South in Las Vegas this morning. Actor Aaron Paul dined at Lavo in the Palazzo with a group of friends on Tuesday night. The Breaking Bad star enjoyed Chicken Parmigiano, Filet, Sea Bass and the famed Kobe Meatball. After dinner the group made a stop at the Las Vegas nightclub. Old-school rockers Anthrax with singer Joey Belladonna and guitarist Scott Ian rocked the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay over the weekend. Testament, with singer Chuck Billy, drummer Gene “The Atomic Clock” Hoglan, guitarist Alex Skolnick and guitarist Eric Peterson also performed at the hotspot. The night before, Sebastian Bach of Skid Row performed with Franky Perez at Ovation in Green Valley Ranch. In upcoming celebrity news, singer Nick Carter is scheduled to celebrate his birthday at Vanity Nightclub inside the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 28. Also on Saturday, “Best American DJ” recipient at the 2006 International Dance music Awards, Christopher Lawrence will take over the butterfly Garden rooftop as guest DJ at Las Vegas nightclub Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at the Paris. On Friday, March 23, the band Five Finger Death Punch will hit the Las Vegas Strip for a special hometown show at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel. 5FDP will be joined by special guests Soulfly and Windowpane and it’s sure to be a great show. Vegas entertainment is even booked in to April with Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder kicking off his U.S. solo tour at The Pearl in the Palms on Wednesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. Vedder will be joined by special guest Glen Hansard during his stop at the Las Vegas hotel. I’m all out of Las Vegas celebrity news for today but check back tomorrow when I give you the complete rundown of this weekend’s expected celebrity guests.
